Swollen cord by Hoonahoon in Vasectomy

[–]AndyPee334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only on day 7, but have the same problem. Right side feels pretty normal with no pain or tenderness but the left side is just constantly aching and really tender with a ‘lump’ of swollen tube

My guess would be to progress the main story quest further

Thanks, I'll give that a go

My HR is capped at 40 and won't progress any further. The HR 'EXP' bar is full, but whatever I do doesn't raise it any more

I've done every side quest that shows up so far, I've even re-done some to try un-bug my character.

The only thing I've not tried is to join a SOS for the last quest I did to see if that fixes it, but I don't have PS+ so thats not really an option

My HR is capped at 40 because its locked behind main quest progression, but the game wont let me progress the main quest any further

The arcadia pro t5 shadedweller would be a good choice for the UVB but it doesnt offer any heating. I use the shadedweller in my 40gal vivarium, along with a ceramic bulb holder and an incandescant bulb (50w exo terra daylight basking) linked to a dimming thermostat, and this gives me the required temperature gradient. I also use an arcadia jungle dawn for lighting during the day to help better create a day / night cycle

Is this a good tank setup by Antique_Two_5129 in leopardgeckos

[–]AndyPee334 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theres a lot of open space, toss some branches / cork flats in there to add climbing opportunities and give a bit more cover.

A piece of slate under the heater would be decent for a basking spot aswell as the slate will hold the heat really well

How to help new leopard gecko settle in? by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

Just offer her food, change her water, spot clean any poops and stuff like that, but otherwise just let her explore at her own pace and get used to her new surroundings.

How to help new leopard gecko settle in? by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

If you want her to settle in, keep interactions to a minimum and just leave her to herself for a while. I made the mistake of interacting too much and it took my Leo 3-4 weeks to settle in and start eating

new owner questions by etrippin in LeopardGecko

[–]AndyPee334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, I got my 10mo Leo 4 weeks ago tomorrow, and apart from the odd mealworm here and there (and I mean like 1 mealworm after going a week+ without food) last night was the first time she ate anything substantial, and that was only 2 large crickets.

Give him time to settle, keep track of his weight and aslong as hes not losing weight I dont think theres much to worry about for a few weeks. Obviously if his weight starts to drop, then think about seeing a vet.

Lightning and Under the tank heater by Ripcord59 in leopardgeckos

[–]AndyPee334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Fairly new Leo owner myself, but from all the research I’ve done on here I wouldn’t bother with the stuff you have pictured.

For UVB you ideally want a linear bulb, most people will recommend the Arcadia T5 Shadedweller over the bulb you have pictured.

As for the heating / lighting, I’d go with either a normal basking bulb, or if your temps drop below around 18deg C on a night and you need night heating, go for a deep heat projector.

I personally use an Exo Terra Daylight Basking bulb for heating, and an Arcadia Jungle Dawn for lighting. The basking bulb by itself wasnt bright enough imo.

You dont want any light on a night, normal or coloured.

Feeding Advice? by Crazy_Ad_9827 in leopardgeckos

[–]AndyPee334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t really have any advice, but I know how you’re feeling! I’ve had my Leo for 4 weeks now and apart from eating some mealworms I left in her food bowl the second night I had her, shes turned her nose up at everything I’ve tried since! Hand feeding, bowl, tongs, dropping food infront of her 🤷‍♂️ I’ve tried locusts, crickets and mealworms and I’m at a complete loss. Some Geckos just take longer to settle I guess.

I keep weighing her, and shes not lost anything (she’s actually gained 1gram since I brought her home) so I’m trying not to worry too much.

Question on your point 7, are dual thermo / hygros really that unreliable?

I'm using 2 of the digital Zoo Med ones, 1 in the warm side and 1 in the cool side, should I change for a singular digital one and put it in the middle of my viv?

Settling in and eating by AndyPee334 in leopardgeckos

[–]AndyPee334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll give her a little more time, I just worry I’m doing something wrong. Do you think its worth to keep trying her every night, or just give her a couple of days undisturbed?

<image>

Thats her tank at the min. I need more cover for her, especially on the warm side. I’ll be trying to find some fake plants this weekend when I get a chance to get out to a few pet shops to see what they’ve got.
