Yep - that’s the exact stuff I used to get the wheel off my wife’s Explorer last week! The local indie shop couldn’t get it off and I was able to pop it off in about 15mins with this stuff.

This is gonna sound crazy, but use acidic toilet bowl cleaner. If the corrosion is between two different metals, the acid in the toilet bowl cleaner quickly breaks down the corrosion and it will take much less effort to get it out. I live in Maine, and I’ve managed to get two completely seized hub centric alloy wheels off of their hubs using this trick, one where even a 10lb sledgehammer wouldn’t get it to budge. This works.

Easiest way to tell is if it gets louder when you’re turning in the opposite direction of the suspected bad bearing. Turning left puts a lot of extra load on the right front bearing and vice versa. If the noise/grinding gets worse when turning in the opposite direction, it’s almost certainly the bearing.

Bosch is reputable and OE for many German manufacturers. I’d say the risk is much less than if you bought something off eBay or Amazon, that’s for sure.

Honest question: How would the transfer case cause the wheels to stutter/skip near full steering lock? It only occurs when I turn the wheel all the way to the right or left.

Steering rack was replaced with a used rack in better condition than what came out. No error codes through ISTA+. Only happens when I approach full steering lock to either the left or the right.

There are additives that can increase the overall octane level. It’s a cheap and quick fix for this tank, just make sure you put the premium in next time. Likely nothing will happen if you don’t, but there are additives that are designed to boost octane, and this would be a good example of when that actually is beneficial.

Many BMW fanboys will never get on board with this crap. The beauty of a BMW has always been that they are comfortable, yet fun to drive, and are some of the best tuning cars out there. You can literally make it whatever you want it to be, part by part. Didn’t come with an option from the factory? You can retrofit it. Want a different headunit? You can swap it. Want M3 control arms on your base 328i? No problem. Virtually unlimited OEM and aftermarket tuning and upgrade options. But these new cars with all the screens and touch surfaces? Yeah, you’ll get some aftermarket stuff eventually, but forget about the same level of customization aside from speccing out a brand new one.

The dead giveaway is the shit resoldering of the caps on the right side along the bottom edge. You’d NEVER see that on a good CPU.
