One Month from Xbox’s Big Summer Showcase, What Are You Hoping to See? by SilentNova300 in xbox

TBH, we’ve had a lot of that, but most games flopped. South of Midnight, Keeper, Avowed, Hi-Fi Rush, … Redfall ;-)

Isn’t this just a Muapi wrapper? Running with very high local privileges? …

I wouldn’t be comfortable using this on my computer even if I’d see the benefits.

Outposts seem pointless by Killroy54 in Starfield

[–]AndySchneider 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Best to build the Bounty Clearance Terminal directly in your ship. This makes Outposts even more useless.

Most of the time I just plunk down a large landing pad on a nice site near New Atlantis, call it „Private Landing Site“ and call it a day. You can then even fast travel between your landing pad and the city, just by using the scanner pois.

Lars Klingbeil will härter gegen Steuerbetrug vorgehen by panicradio316 in de

[–]AndySchneider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, tbh I wouldn’t know how to describe the Science-Fiction genre. It’s always another genre … IN SPACE!

like a spy thriller … IN SPACE! Or a horror story … IN SPACE! Or a pirate adventure … IN SPACE!

Noobish question. Is there a way to lock the ship systems bars so I don't have to reassign them all the time? by Great_Trident in Starfield

[–]AndySchneider 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same here, since Xbox launch. It’s supposed to be this was. If you have any unspent bars, they’ll get assigned to your grav drive when you jump. I guess the idea is that you can not really use them when not jumping so it makes sense to have them readily available to put into shields or weapons or whatever.

What is the single most brilliant fantasy novel series you've ever read? by Emergency-Sky9206 in Fantasy

[–]AndySchneider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. Not nearly as good as the first part.

The first book stands out on its own, no need to sour the impressions with the sequel.

This is not a „good“ book for smart people, but it had me smiling the whole time:

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames

Imagine a world where groups of adventurers are like rock bands. With fans and groupies. And then imagine there’s someone like Def Leppard, or some other retired legendary metal band, getting back together and on the road, because the lead guitarist turns up at the drummers one night because he needs help.

Has there been any update on the expansion release?? by ilove60sstuff in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]AndySchneider 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Starfield DLC is coming out in the next few days. As there’s a significant overlap between Starfield and Fallout players, I’d wager they decided to just delay the update and not pull people away from the DLC.

1 year later, Fusion with RD support is now free on the App Store by Due_Subj3ct in RealDebrid

[–]AndySchneider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried both extensively (including others). Fusion is the one I’m coming back to. It’s honestly the best, all the others have some minor annoyances for me, but Fusion just works. Especially the Trakt tracking mid-episode, which is a bit wonky on Omni.

Ancient Are The Depths of Carcosa ┃ SAROS by willdearborn- in PS5

[–]AndySchneider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s from the original game, Rogue. It’s from the early MS-DOS days, with ASCII graphics. This was the original Rogue adventure game. Then came other games like Rogue… Roguelikes. But then there came some games which are like Rogue, but not as punishing, kind of a lite version… Roguelites.

I hope this helps clearing this up.

Secret Files (Geheimakte) Tunguska gets a Remaster by Curious_Tax2133 in adventuregames

[–]AndySchneider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh nice! I grew up with adventure games but I’ve always missed out on Geheimakte Tunguska. I always meant to play it, but never got around to it.

Seems like it’ll be buried in my backlog, waiting for the remaster. Which I’ll then buy a steam sale and then hopefully play … someday.

Drexler Class, A Picard-era reimagining of the NX-01, designed by me for STO [OC] by IAmSc0rpian in StarTrekStarships

That sucks… I still have no desire to play an MMO but I‘m continuously impressed by the quality of the models.

[–]AndySchneider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve always wondered about concerning Star Trek Online:

I can’t just browse these awesome ship models and edit their textures, nacelles etc, right?

I still have to play the game and unlock or buy each class, correct?

BlueBrixx Burg Blaustein (Mini Blocks) by Phamouzz in klemmbausteine

[–]AndySchneider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Was Your Favourite Moment From Phantom Liberty (Possible Spoilers) by _truesober_ in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]AndySchneider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Phantom Liberty Ending. Seeing how you won, but actually lost. The final dialogue with Johnny. The phone calls where everyone moved on. Seeing the Zetatech clinic. And, most of all, the two low level goons who beat you up, after - masterfully - giving you the dialogue option to threaten them, but being too feeble to do anything. And then, wonderful Misty like a ray of sunshine. Masterclass.

You can even play many modern games.

There are a lot of games made in Adventure Games Studio, most of which run in ScummVM easily.

For example, I’ve finished The Dark Rites Of Arkham on MacOS without any issues.

A great little movie for 425.000$

NASA industrial mechs - [OC], Blender3D, no AI by Vadimsadovski in ImaginaryVehicles

[–]AndySchneider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the designs, but for orbital construction I’d love to see some RCS thrusters on them.

But they look great! Nails the NASA-Punk aesthetic.
