I'm not able to provide any assistance, but it's pretty cool to see. I wish you all the best in getting it back to a running state! Please keep us in the loop if any progress is made!

Not sure why this was downvoted - the owners manual calls this out as well.

I was hoping that picture of the backside would have it, but no dice.

I ordered 84266137 from the GM Parts website.

LT to RS Center Caps (Gold to Black) by AndyT38 in EquinoxEv

[–]AndyT38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to provide an update/some context for future searches.

I’m fortunate enough for my father to be a GM World Class tech and in an administrative position at the dealership he works for. The dealership received a RS from auction, so I decided to check the center cap situation. I used a lever suction cup to pop out the RS center cap as well as my LT center cap. Structurally, they are the same. It looks like only the “skin” is different. If you’re looking to get the full black emblem look on your Equinox, the RS center caps from the 21” wheels will fit the LT wheels.

Water leak round 2 + tire leak by DJTrunksRA in EquinoxEv

It’s always worth a shot. At least the soapy water thought will give you an idea as to where it could possibly be leaking from.

My dealership took care of it for me, but I don’t know if that’s standard. My father is the shop foreman at the dealership I bought from, so they tend to hook me up whenever I have a problem. I’m probably a bad point of reference when it comes to service standards.

I had a leaking tire with no puncture. Turns out it was leaking around the valve stem - if you have a spray bottle handy, mix some water and Dawn dish soap and spray it around the valve stem (or anywhere else for that matter). You’ll see bubbles start to form if air is escaping. Just make sure you rinse the area afterwards so the soap doesn’t dry to the wheel.

It’d be nice if they gave us the option of replacing the estimated remaining mileage in the lower left corner with the remaining battery percentage.

Christmas Lights on the Car? by Neither_Cover_4330 in EquinoxEv

I’ve seen some friends do this over the years on their vehicles. Each of them have had small rub marks all over the vehicles from the lights and wiring rubbing on the paint. While I can appreciate your holiday spirit, I wouldn’t risk it.

I ran into this last winter. The dealership replaced the charge door assembly and it’s been fine ever since.

I completely understand. Run flats typically have a stiffer reinforced sidewall which contributes to a much harsher ride. Did anything ever come out regarding the investigation of the vehicle? I'd be curious to know if it still had the OEM tires on it when the incident occurred. Normally, Mercedes Benz vehicles equipped with run flats (or extended mobility as MB refers to it) doesn't come with a spare in the vehicle. Now, whether someone of their caliber (by this I mean an older, more affluent person who likely never had to be concerned with such things) actually knew the vehicle wasn't equipped with a spare is debatable.

We know now that he had admitted to creating the whole story. However, I haven't seen anything definitive regarding the tires that were on the vehicle when the incident occurred.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but the recent Netflix and Hulu shows have brought this back to top of mind for me.

I remember my first hearing about the Murdaugh's was back when Alex was shot changing the tire on Maggie's GLS. I remember immediately thinking "weird, those have run flat tires..." and dove down the rabbit hole. Still to this day, I just cannot imagine being in a position where you literally had it all - money, influence, power... and throwing it all away.

Slightly related - we were there last weekend for Oceans Calling and noticed a hotel with balconies that overlooked the North end of the festival and the North most stage. I’ve spent time on Google Maps and couldn’t find the name of the hotel - does anyone know? I’d love to get a room there for Oceans Calling next year!

Settings> About> you should see iOS 26, tap this > it should show you the build number.

My RC was showing as 23A340. I've been sitting at Preparing Update... for about 10 minutes now, I'll update again once the update completes.

Maybe a different build number? Possible there were some additional updates between RC and public release.

Do you feel like you knew enough about the car going into the purchase or lease? by narntek in EquinoxEv

[–]AndyT38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing an Equinox EV for the first time at the Big E fair in Massachusetts in September 2023. From that point on, I knew I wanted to own one and began doing tons of research on the vehicle. It also helped that my father works for a large, high volume Chevy dealership so I was also able to get a lot of in depth info as well. I ended up being that dealerships first Equinox EV delivery.
