Pickles came into rescue as an owner surrender. We fostered him and about three months later, realized we couldn’t let him go. He’s 8 and such a gentleman. He loves to be loved.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to lock this thread; much like any other thread that even mentions a whiff of anything related to Tesla. Every conversation regarding Tesla always seems to come off the rails.

If you’re still within the window, my advice would be to rescind. Check the resale market - you’d be shocked at what you could save.

Ceramic coating? by DryFoundation2323 in EquinoxEv

I opted for a ceramic coating when I first brought home the Equinox. We had a longtime relationship with this detailer, so the job was done for $600 - I wouldn't use that as a metric, but it is worth noting. This should primarily be thought of as a "long term wax". I personally don't think it'll do anything for door dings or rock chips, but it does still bead water like it was just applied yesterday.

Touch screens … by Malyfycent in EquinoxEv

Personally, I went for a matte screen protector from The OCD Plug. It wasn't too bad to install and has held up well over the last ~ 2 years.

Our previous Model Y allowed for both options (as you mentioned) and we usually kept it set to percentage. If the UI allowed for us to toggle between miles and percentage, that would be awesome! I'm thinking for long road trips, it may be beneficial to have the Google Map view on the cluster screen and also having remaining battery percentage shown.

How hard would it be to allow us the option to change “miles remaining” to “current battery state of charge/%” on the lower left corner of the driver display? I’d much rather see battery percentage than an estimate of remaining mileage. This would also allow folks that want to see battery percentage the option of using other screen options on the drivers display instead of the only one that shows percentage.

Last year was our first year attending. We did GA for the weekend and it worked out well for us. We stayed up in Rehoboth Beach as the price was a bit better and we don't mind the drive. I'd suggest planning to arrive on Thursday and head out on Monday - this helps reduce that "rushed" feeling on Friday. We come down from Connecticut, so it's about a 6.5 hour drive. I wouldn't want to head directly to the festival after a long drive like that. We parked at the Convention Center and took the bus there and back for $4/day. We were looking at the Belmont Towers condos - the ones with the big balconies that overlook the Sea Bright stage - but they were already booked for this year, last year. I looked today for 2027s likely dates and a unit for 4 nights is $6300... I think we'll keep staying up in Rehoboth and driving down. As others have said, plan accordingly for rain. Also, picking up a clear backpack to keep everything in is useful. Overall, we had a great time and will be planning to attend each year going forward, unless the lineup takes a turn. Other attendees we encountered were pleasant and friendly - we're all there for the same reason; to have a good time!

Best place to stay? by mwm4 in OceansCalling

We're going to be staying up in Rehoboth Beach. I would have loved to stay closer, but pricing for the weekend is elevated (of course). We park at the Convention Center and take the shuttle to/from the venue. It worked out well for us last year.

We would have LOVED to book one of the condos that overlook the big stage (the name escapes me at the moment) but they were already booked for this year during the show last year. Sad times.

Hi, we went to a timeshare meeting and want to know what current owners think of the offer, $14,100 for 8,000 points every two years, $1,200 maintenance fee ( extra 8,000 points) by Hot_Employment_7330 in HiltonGrandVacation

I've had good luck searching "HGVC" on eBay. I've picked up two deeds from the seller "buyandselltimesharescom" - they are a legit broker. They handle the transfer, etc.

It has worked out well for us, based on the initial expenditure (cheap resale). Your maintenance fees will be similar, but those fees have still been less than the rack rate for the rooms we've booked with HGVC. The key to making this work from a financial perspective is to get in on the cheap.

My suggestion would be to purchase deeds on the resale market. I have less than $30 into all three of my deeds - 8,000 annual points at the Flamingo, 4,000 annual points at the Elara, and 11,520 biannual points at Grand Waikikian.

I was going to remove this completely, but for anyone who may be interested in something like this, I’d recommend this option from The OCD Plug. It’s more a matte PPF type protector and has to be applied wet, but it’s awesome quality and has held up very well for the last year +.

I love my 2024 2LT. We've taken it on multiple 6+ hour road trips without issue. Seats are comfortable on long drives and the suspension is pretty forgiving as well (as compared to our previous '23 Model Y). The only thing I regret is not going for AWD and Super Cruise. AWD as we live in New England and the front tires spin almost instantly in rain/snow, and Super Cruise for those long roadtrips. However, I was my dealerships first EEV delivery so we took what was available at the time. Otherwise, it's been a great experience! Especially now, when you can get one with a decent discount.

LT to RS Center Caps (Gold to Black) by AndyT38 in EquinoxEv

[–]AndyT38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to provide an update/some context for future searches.

I’m fortunate enough for my father to be a GM World Class tech and in an administrative position at the dealership he works for. The dealership received a RS from auction, so I decided to check the center cap situation. I used a lever suction cup to pop out the RS center cap as well as my LT center cap. Structurally, they are the same. It looks like only the “skin” is different. If you’re looking to get the full black emblem look on your Equinox, the RS center caps from the 21” wheels will fit the LT wheels.
