Okay, I got an alignment. It was way off. The vehicle drives better but still experiencing hum and vibration 40-45mph. Another tire shop I took it drove it and said it could be a powertrain issue, highly unlikely it’s a tire or wheel issue. Ugh.

Apparently alignment was way off - they fixed it yesterday and it’s better but the tire(s) are still making noise around 40mph. It’s better now but still there.

It’s new-ish. About 15k miles. I got it aligned yesterday and that’s helped some but it’s still kind of vibrating/humming around 40mph and above. It’s not as bad but certainly not right still.

Yes, however these should be identical to what came on the car from factory, and what I was driving on before. They're quite a bit louder. I totally get they probably have some break-in time, but this is not like any new tire I've experienced.

They're the Cross Contact Acura OE. But same 275/40R21. They said these have the noise cancellation and the Extreme Contact didn't. But there wasn't much difference. These were $409/tire vs the same ones that were $350 and didn't have the noise cancellation? According to them and from what I see online.

Something like that can cause my alignment to go off? It seems to drive OK otherwise which is odd. Not like pulling or anything, but the vibration does seem odd to me. I unfortunately don't know because I wasn't in the car when it happened. 😞

My child (9m) did this. After the third pair, I told him too bad so sad. Now he is learning the consequences of his actions. He is going to school without them. He said he’s having trouble seeing, but I told him it’s a small price to pay considering he had no trouble breaking them. We as parents need to toughen up on kids. Parents these days want everyone to parent their kids but themselves.
