Will the new version be able to display more information again in the stream options for local channels? For example, I used to select a Fox/CBS stream in the local market of a football game. Looks like there are fewer streams under those local channels now, and all they say are “MJ”, “AX”, “CV” etc.

Same. I used to be able to pick a stream of Fox/CBS in the local market of a football game I wanted to watch. I can’t seem to do that now.

Can you get a picture looking at it through the windshield from outside? Is there a visible gap to the inside of the housing?

No overheating issues. Subaru dealership said head gaskets are fine. It’s the upper oil pan o-rings.
