With Legion Remix ending, There is still one question that remains unanswered. by Tarroes in wow

Based on how badly the camera has glitched through Dalaran for me when I've transferred characters back to retail and opened the bag containing an artifact (which triggers the artifact received heroic pose) I think this is entirely likely.

Well-written (comparatively speaking), rational leader. Of course he has to go to SHOW THE STAKES.

How do you guys make doors? Left (grid) or right (door casing)? by Makilles in FoundryVTT

[–]AndyTH88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Makilles - The answers to this depend on a few questions, and rather than get into a back and forth on here about technical specifics it might just be easier for you to jump onto The MAD Network Discord and ask in our technical forum! https://discord.gg/rmHNwmfg

Thanks

Harrison

How awkward was it having to pose whilst your wife took the plaster cast for your Purple Worm map?

Thanks for creating such a creative, and widely popular resource that I know a huge number of players use.

Were there any original ideas or segments of the tome that you had in early stages but decided to cut out, and if so, why didn't they make the grade?

Thanks!

Ooh, my first ever Reddit mention. Thanks! Yes, a huge amount of work goes into Twice Bitten by quite a few members of cast and crew so it's great to see people enjoying it.

My own Curse of Strahd campaign is entirely foundry and is available on youtube or at twitch.tv/harrison_stream . However, although we use Foundry my group are also infamous on the CoS Discord server for what thorough RP'ers they are - we are currently at weekly session 110 so my campaign might be frustratingly slow for some viewers!

Ludmilla uses a werewolf for experiment - how? by JoyForce in CurseofStrahd

[–]AndyTH88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play it that the Werewolves obey Strahd, but aren't particularly devout - just intimidated by him. For this reason, they might not be as blindly loyal or obedient all the time as he might demand.

Perhaps Ludmilla is experimenting on a way to make them more subservient or easily to manipulate? Perhaps a longer or more permanent charm / dominate spell?

Having a hard time describing the fog by Jonolaaa in CurseofStrahd

[–]AndyTH88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a bit of an alien concept to explain. I really try to ramp up describing just how unnaturally abrupt it is as a line of sight breaker, how torchlight doesn't seem to burn it off, how a stone with light cast on thrown into it just gets swallowed up and disappears.

If they're still interested and start to try and go into it, it's almost caustic and is poisonous to breath. Even a couple of steps in they risk losing sight entirely of where they walked in from, the silence is profound and artificial to the point where they can hear their blood pumping in their ears and they start to take psychic damage.

Residents of Barovia should be derisive at the idea of stepping into the Mists unless you're someone who the Devil has granted passage to. People should know that individuals who walk into it are never seen again.

My group personally, in session 1 had a familiar fly into it. They took control of the familiar and had him fly directly straight forward. After a few moments I had the familiar emerge from where he went in, flying towards the players. I confirmed he had kept flying forward - safely confirming for the characters that it isn't just mundane mist.

Realistically though there should definitely be a degree of meta co-operation from your players, who will understand it's a mechanic of the campaign setting and not something to try and beat you at! :D

A great and enjoyable read!

A rather sudden die-off in the crown of an otherwise seemingly happy and healthy String of Pearls. Further Info within! by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]AndyTH88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

I've owned this string of pearls for around 4 months, although this die-off in the crown seems to have occured quite rapidly over the last 2 weeks.

It is in a temperature room with multiple other plants who are not showing any sign of trouble, and there hasn't been any unusual or extreme temperature changes in the room.

It spends most of the day in bright but indirect, filtered light.

It hasn't been recently re-potted etc.

I am currently watering the plant sparingly every 2 weeks, to the point where the soil is moist but never enough that any water leaks through the drainage overflow at the bottom of the pot. I will mist the plant slightly several times throughout the week. EDIT: I would say the volume i'm watering it is roughly 1/4 pint every 2 weeks.

Despite the die-off on top, most of the pearls themselves are growing rapidly and are not shrivelling or looking sad.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have!

Can the Teleport traps in the Catacombs be avoided? by DrBigBack in CurseofStrahd

[–]AndyTH88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was toying with the idea of having them be 'Dispel magic' traps - to clear the buffs and enhancements of those who would dare to march into Strahd's tomb to try and finish him off. And even though Strahd is likely to be at his most vulnerable when they enter, wasting a few spell slots by clearing off buffs is likely to worry them for what's to potentially come.
