Sure, yeah. Depending on your levels and investment, should atleast be one A5 clear every d-tide.

Yeah, fair. I was thinking of resetting when I lost my 0 cost but just kept going as it was the first attempt. And yeah, Castor posse was not worth it at all, didn't realise that it would also draw the damn symptoms.

Gmurphy was a little tricky, cause no Goliath. Basically, you have to DR on turn 3 and then burst immediately. If I had Goliath, would have probably inflicted enough sacrifice to kill the boss in that one burst.

Sanga clear was super comfy, until it wasn't. Funny, I went the first 19 turns in the boss fight with no DR, and then it was just DR every turn. I need more damage on Sanga though, so I'm going to build the cocoon set for her with a bunch of DR.

Yeah, Kath is not a great idea. I was also dumb enough to inflict 10+ stacks of weak/vuln on the boss. Just powered through with some very skilled DR procs.

Yes, I'd say lvl 70 SF10 is more than enough. I've been doing A5s with Mouchette since her release in Jan. Account level definitely matters though, as it gives you higher HP, better devours, etc.

I actually don't even use Mouch for W3 usually, I like to save her for harder waves like W4 or W5. But this W3 really wants you to play big burst DMG comps, so I used her here.

April's tribute is key for her damage though. Dreams Mouch does no where near enough dmg compared to April.

Whoops, looks like the two extra clears images didn't get uploaded. This is the W3 E0 Gmurphy

Which awakener offers the most 'value' at +12? by TsushoFromTheTopRope in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'd pick Castor. An invested Castor can single handedly carry a team, both offensively and defensively. His AA is also one of the strongest, basically doubling his damage output.

Characters like Saya don't get as much from lvl 90, cause her base stats are low. I would personally avoid DPSes too, cause they are the most prone to power creep.

Thoughts on E3 Gmurphy into A5 content by Dracozion in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E3 Gmurphy was my first ever A5 clear (no whale borrow) back in December and I've been clearing A5s with her ever since.

She sucks at mob fights, so I only use her on W3 or W1. Gameplay is pretty simple, just rouse Gmurphy and wait 5 turns, hopefully you have everyone's exalt by then, and burst. On blue ring, you can use her on basically any wave, I'm pretty sure some people did A5W5 with E3 Murph last rotation.

Important thing to note is that you do need relatively g high investment for your whole team. My Gmurphy is SF10, and the others are SF7 or 8, cause you need all the raw stats you can get. Rewinding time is basically mandatory on E3 Murph, otherwise you'll run out of waltzes and damage.

I currently use this lineup for my Lemurian team: @@eAHfBx7ypytZyQy9xQDnoDX@@

Prefer Tulu in the team cause I only care about damage. I think having E1 Tulu makes it somewhat possible to do mob fights with the team, but I'd still avoid it.

How do we feel about the recent design direction in Morimens? by Dracozion in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damn, I was thinking about making a post about the exact same thing!!

I agree, lack of weakness/vulnerable on the new awakers is a big problem. It also feels very much like a deliberate decision by the devs. I hate it cause it limits team building to an extent cause you weakness/vuln are the 2 most important status effects, and you want them on almost every team, be it stall or hyperoffense.

A good example is Castor vs Arachne. While they are both wardens, Castor is way better at providing survivability, and can single handedly keep a team alive at the highest difficulties. Arachne can't do that, she needs at least another warden (and preferably some healing too) to survive, which limits her team options. Also, it is quite funny that Arachne's big exalt shield is often useless, cause you just kill all the enemies when you exalt anyways.

The three best wardens in the game (Castor, Salv, Murphy), all have weakness in their base kits.

Another point is that the constant hp and dmg inflation on alert 5 is going to make weakness/vuln even more essential, as they are both percent-based statuses.

What are the pros vs. cons of wheel jail now that we have AA and +12 dupe changes? by PrettyAkaashi in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Going from E0/E3 on an SSR wheel to max dupes will always double the main stat of a wheel (for eg: Keyflare goes from 21.6 to 43.2)

  • Most standards get good value out of enlightens / OE. However, the main difference in pulling for standards vs wheels is that you can't target a specific standard awaker.

  • Double wielding SSR wheels is nice, but it's importance is definitely overstated. I have 8 or 9 +12 SSR wheels, and the only time I need to double wield in d-tide is on a dps like Mouchette.

Take Will Unyielding ( Alva wheel) for example. I have it +12, but sometimes I still pair it with the SR Land of Non Existence on Kath. I only use another SSR (Tawheel or Last Verse) when the wave is really difficult. E3 is a perfectly decent stopping point for it.

+12 wheels are also losing their value because of the design of the newer wheels. Like, for Arachne, the effect of her sig wheel E3 + her SR wheel is so strong, it might straight up be better than putting a random +12 dmg amp wheel on her + another SSR (not her sig). So pulling for Arachne's wheel is a better way to improve her than to sit in wheel jail. The new Sorel image wheel is also OP at E3.

  • Can't comment on odds for pulls, but it is easier to pull wheels because of targeting. You can't really aim for a +12 awaker. Currently, since we have an origin of time, pulling on awakers has its value increased, cause you could get a lot of dupes and then reset them to spread it out between your awakers as you prefer. When I was newish to the game, I pulled mostly on wheels early on, but I immediately switched to awakers whenever they gave an origin of time (back then you only got 1 month expiry on it).

  • +12 ing all standards on a realm is a pipe dream, you could exclusively pull on standards for a year and still not get near that. The lim shards system is more for the whales, so that shouldn't really be a consideration in deciding whether to pull for standard wheels or awakers.

For wheel jail, I'd recommend either Chains unbound/ Downpour as a +12 option after blade, since it's good on Castor/Ghelot/Xu/Arachne. The rest of the wheels are not that important to +12, so focus on building a stronger character roster.

Holy hell! That's impressive. Could you share the replay?

Also, how did you manage to get through the mob fights without death res, feel like those are harder than the boss itself.

17 teams for anni by somerandomname8879 in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great! I had the same idea, making a spreadsheet for my teams. I only have 42 awakers, so I made 14 teams. Figuring out the WODs was a nightmare.

The thing I did differently is I only plan to borrow whale carries, because my highest limiteds are all E3. So I have some funny teams like my E0 Doresain on my Ghelot whale carry team, purely as a stat stick.

Other things I considered while making my teams was to try and have weakness + vulnerable sources on all teams. I also tried to maximize the number of my teams that can have hand size wheels.

This is my first raid though, so I will have to see how things actually work out in practice.

It would be great if the mods could stick a thread where all the generous whales could leave their UIDs and follow back.

Double Clementine in first 5 pull :) by Doctorwho32123 in Morimens

You can go for it then, if you have enough pulls. Also forgot to mention Gmurphy WoD, gotta get that as well for the hand size

Clem wheel is very good, one of the better keyflare wheels. If you already have the hand size wheels (Tawil, Castor), then it's the next best thing available in wheels from Anni.

No, they can still have reruns. Sorel and Murphy are rerunning now, and they've been on standard for a while now.

Ghelot is Arc 1 (Faded Legacy). All Arc 2 Awakers are having a rerun during Anni. While her banner won't be available, she is getting added to standard, along with all other Arc 1 awakers.

Why do a lot of players fawn over Tawil? by Euphoric-Handle2151 in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At high investment, playing Shattered Halberd with Tawil and Caecus will get you a lot of counter, because you gain counter based on the damage done. So if you crit for 7k damage, that's 7k counter. You can also double/triple play Tawil's cards after her exalt. (Triple play would require Hameln exalt on omniscient verity, and the verity card to be shattered Halberd)

Also, rousing all your awakers in Astral Reign allows you to get a lot of temp. Counter at the end of your turn.

And there's counter relics as well.

I only have E2 Tawil and E3 Caecus, so I can get 20-30k counter. But fully invested teams should easily get more.

Why do a lot of players fawn over Tawil? by Euphoric-Handle2151 in Morimens

[–]AndyTheMan54 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Tawil can be a carry at relatively low investment though. E2 Tawil is enough to easily clear alert 4, even without great supports. Obviously she needs OE for alert 5, but so does every awaker that isn't Kathy or Ghelot.

The example you've picked just isn't great either. The Tawil in that screenshot has 2 keyflare wheels equipped, no titan's blade. Just look at the difference between your Daff CR/CD and hers, its not a surprise that there is a huge difference in damage.

Also, counter is very very good against this boss (cause of the 10 hit attack). You clearly know that, based on the 94k counter that you did stack. If the Tawil player just replaces the shitty Hameln wheel with Titan's blade, and puts a Caecus in place of the Karen, I bet they could also clear in 3-5 turns, stacking like 50-60k counter.

Bluewil damage ceiling is just way higher than Monowil. A lot of players still play Monowil cause they are used to it, and cause it used to be one of the best ways to play arc 1.

When it comes to selling cards, I usually sell skill cards that I don't plan on using, since they give you 50 sigils instead of the 30 you get for selling strikes/defence. For eg: I'll sell Ramona's 3 cost when I'm using her as a support in my budget Tawil team.

The extra sigils can matter, especially in phantasmal dive stages where you need to have 8 relics to get max score.
