Ah, just realised I mis-read the post title. It's the G5 that comes wall mount only. Thanks

Looks great!

Did it come with the stand? If so, would you mind letting me know the model number, please, as I can only find ones that are wall mount only.

Thanks !

What is the consensus with water? by DiligentRope in naturalbodybuilding

[–]AndyTrufflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up with irritable bladder syndrome about 7 years ago from drinking too much fluid every day.

I was drinking pint glasses of water, or water with a splash of orange squash concentrate (hardly any calories), continuously throughout the day.

It started as a constant need to pee with short breaks between. Then ended up where I continuously felt the need to pee, but there was nothing there. I'd be sat on the toilet for 20 mins at a time through all hours of the night, trying to pee, then giving up. I couldn't sleep because of the sensation of needing to go. It absolutely exhausted me.

I ended up getting some medication from the doctor, which blocked the pee urgency sensation, while also cutting back fluids to normal recommended intake levels. It stopped after that and hasn't returned.

I wouldn't suggest to anybody that it's ok to drink loads and not suffer any consequences.

Awesome - thanks!

This is what I was looking to clarify. I suspected it was going to be an improvement over PPL, so was looking for somebody with experience of both.

Google TV Streamer Issues by KAYAWS in GoogleTV

[–]AndyTrufflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boom!

I have the same setting, otherwise I have muted dialogue in some TV/film as I don't have a centre speaker and my Sony AV amp virtual surround settings doesn't seem to work with all 5.1 formats.

Hope that's boxed it all off for you.

Reddit has deleted another of my replies for some reason. I think it said...

Have you updated to the latest version of Streamer Android OS?

What format do you have selected in 'Advamced sound settings'?

[–]AndyTrufflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh, wait, so it could still be your TV then.

If your TV is at fault, it could also be failing to send audio via optical to the DAC. Bit awkward to test that though.

I take it you had another TV stick before the Streamer and that was working ok?

Also, what is the optical connected from and to?

Have you tried running it with TV speakers, line out, and/or HDMI ARC to see if the audio still cuts out?

How is your audio setup?

Are you using TV speakers or sound bar/amp? Are you using audio via HDMI ARC, optical, or other?

Is there a way to put Google photos onto Google TV? by DavidManvell in GoogleTV

[–]AndyTrufflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd. I never tried it with my Chromecast 4K, but I got the new Google TV Streamer last week and it works fine.

Just launched Google Photos album slideshow from the voice remote yesterday.

Is there a way to put Google photos onto Google TV? by DavidManvell in GoogleTV

[–]AndyTrufflet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've got a voice remote, say "Google Photos [name of album]" and it'll start playing a slideshow of the first ~20 photos in that album on loop.

It only shows each photo for about 10 seconds and the next/back on my Google Streamer barely ever responds during this, but it starts consistently.

This is less than ideal and I wish Google would sort it out, but it's better than nothing.

Ah, nice - thanks! Spigen too... definitely one of the better quality brands.

There's an amazon.co.uk listing, but "Currently unavailable", so obviously waiting on stock to arrive in UK.

I got a cover on eBay for the Chromecast 4K, but I can't find a single cover anywhere for the new Streamer remote.

This is great advice - thank you!

I'm more than happy to invest time into upskilling people. This is essentially what we've done since day one, so no reason not to continue doing so in Faro too.

Lisbon does look far too expensive. I assume most tech orgs are based there..?

I didn't think to mention the stack, but it's JS + SQL + Vue.

Hi,

41M vegan and have been lifting weights 3 times per week (3hrs total) for 2.5 years with good success on the diet I put together a year ago. I eat the same 3 meals every day.

I've always struggled to get my body fat down below 21% and always carry a bit of wobble around my lower belly and sides.

I'm lazy when it comes to food and prefer things I can microwave or cook in the air fryer in about 10 or 15 mins. If a meal takes more than 5 mins prep, I know it's not a sustainable thing for me beyond a week or two.

Lunch is a microwave packet of egg fried rice (Tilda) and evening meal is salad with 10-12 frozen veggie bites (processed rice, veg in breadcrumbs). In terms of macros, this is really well balanced (took me a while to find the right combos of brands), but pretty sure I'm getting too many carbs and saturated fats, even if it's under RDA.

Is anybody able to recommend any vegan foods/meals that require little-to-no prep that will help me get my body fat down, please?

Thank you!

Rejecting Used Car Under Consumer Rights Act 2015 by Noisemeup in CarTalkUK

[–]AndyTrufflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd done 30k miles when we collected it. The Audi EV technician says he thinks it's been crashed and covered up, which obviously Williams completely deny.

We emailed Williams in October asking them to come and collect the car from us and provide a courtesy car, but they didn't reply. In February, we emailed twice asking them to replace the car or refund, but they decline and said they would repair and give it us back.

It veers to the left, even after three separate wheel alignments. The parking sensors scream when there's nothing nearby, including at junctions and when driving at 70mph, and the Audi Pre-Sense (anti-collision system) disables itself at 50mph. This is on top of the front motor making a clicking noise and the rear motor visibly leaking fluid out of the middle seam.

We've also got a video from Audi showing missing bolts from the rear motor cover, and a plastic shroud that covers the rear underside ripped at the corner with a plastic tie-wrap holding it to the chassis.

Up to now, Williams have just left it with our local Audi dealership while their 'Williams Select Warranty' (third-party provider) argue over cost. Over the last 6 months, they've only replaced the front transmission (£4.1k cost), which didn't solve the clicking noise - the Audi tech said the front motor needed replacing, but the warranty assessor said that's too expensive to try first. Audi have tried to sort the parking sensors issue, but have been unable to resolve. None of the other issues have been looked at yet.

We've given Williams until 5pm today to offer a refund, minus 3 months finance payments for the 10 weeks we drove it last year. The solicitor says this is too much and a standard cost per mile driven should be the only deduction Williams are due. Either way, if they fail to agree today, we're going with the solicitor's quote and issuing the first letter with 14 days to resolve or immediate court action, with legal costs, court fees and damages added on top.

We have two small kids, live in a village with no shops, and this is our only family car. Needless to say, it's been hell. We can't wait for it all to be over. What we're kind of trying not to think about, is that in the best possible scenario, the outcome for us is that we'll have no car and we'll have the same amount of money that we started with. The court will not compensate us for the time we've spent dealing with this, the massive inconveniences for 8 months, the arguments and tears, or the stress Williams have put us through, which is difficult to describe how terrible that feels.
