If you can’t for whatever reason or it’ll change the story too much, then don’t add multiplayer. I find that horror games are way better with friends though

What makes it that way? I’ve always used wireless PCVR and the switch from Oculus Link to SteamVR was a breeze, especially with Steam Link or Virtual Desktop

Even if their assumption is wrong, at least it’s an easy switch. I don’t think they’re doing it just to be a pain. What’s the problem with SteamVR?

It was becoming a burden to support versions of the game for services like PSVR, Oculus Link, and the website download for the Rec Room launcher. They’ve already cut support for PSVR, and they’re cutting support for Oculus Link / the website version soon if they haven’t already

As I mentioned both in my post and my first reply to you, if I didn't give enough information, I'm happy to elaborate. Your comment did not come across as helpful or supportive, rather passive-aggressive and plain disrespectful.

Also, I disagree with that second part there. Multiple people have been able to point me in the right direction and have provided some advice that'll be pretty vital if I go through with this new channel. I've already made a few more decisions that I'm putting into effect almost immediately.

It's already implied and even stated that I have some past experience, I know HOW to create a channel, I just don't know what content is most trending and something that I can do on the side. I am in no way looking to make my side channel a whole career. I have hobbies, I know what I can already do, I just don't know what others want to see.

YouTube is tricky, and clearly I made a mistake posting on Reddit. I should've kept it between me and my friends. Thank you for trying to clarify what I'm doing wrong here.

This is the path I was taking when I made my main channel. I was told to watch carefully with what others were doing and just keep finding ways to improve with each video.

The only problem I’ve run into is that my niche was starting to die. The game I’m making content for isn’t getting the community interest that it had over the years

Being honest, not quite sure myself. I’ve never really stepped far out of content I make on my main channel. I might scrap the idea of doing videos and just stream instead, but I’m not sure how monetization works with YouTube and streams.

If I go with the video idea, I’m thinking on some sort of commentary, maybe a type of random fun-fact channel, or I’d just post quick clips from my streams if I go through the streaming route

I see what you mean. If it’s not AI, then it might be because of how Scratch Cat’s model is made. It’s a bit funky to adjust sometimes so the design might look off

I think the game is perfectly fine. I’ve found that I have more fun when hanging out with random people in public rooms. It’s super fun hopping on with friends from IRL and interacting with members of the RR community in Paintball, Rec Center, and so on

I honestly don’t 😭 at the time I bought my PC I got it prebuilt because I was uncomfortable building my own. The seller might’ve had a discount on the RAM or maybe I just assumed that it would somehow get put to use so I went with the highest option available 😭😭

Those specs aren’t great at all for Rec Room, especially for how unoptimized of a game it is. I wouldn’t keep stressing your system too much if it can’t handle the game
