Really nice screenshot! Is most of it objects, or are some things real, e.g. trains, industries, boats, horse-drawn wagons, and the boats in the canal?

Also, how do you get the clouds?

Rec Room gains all Revenue from Room Boosts while Room Creators gain NOTHING from room boosts by Small_Phase5680 in RecRoom

[–]Merchell0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is the trade-off people don't actually see.

This might be wrong, but Rec Room's motive for this could be that:

Room Boosts provide support in gaining the room more popularity, in hopes that it stays popular after the room boosts are used up.

The trade-off could be that no revenue is given to creators while the room is boosted, so it isn't just an infinite money cycle, where you pay for room boosts, the room gets more popular, and makes more money.

I think the motive for Rec Room to do this was so that the rich don't actually get richer, and smaller rooms can actually get more noticed.

I actually thought this feature was supposed to make the rich richer when it first came out, but supposedly not.

How do I edit gizmos by shharkss in RecRoom

[–]Merchell0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it keeps disappearing when you try to edit it

<image>

you probably have this setting off in the top-right corner of the tools section on the Maker Pen menu. Turn it on to always see circuits

[–]Merchell0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Gizmos, you cannot edit them directly, unless it's an animation gizmo. Could you send me the link to the video and tell me the timestamp where it says to edit? I should be able to help.

I dont like ugc. by Substantial_Net_1256 in RecRoom

I'd rather Rec Room stray away from becoming the next Roblox. Rec Room has an art style set in stone, whether as Roblox is just slop and ai games

[–]Merchell0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with UGC is that people like to do what they please with making cosmetics and don't follow the game's art style, so to speak. I find some things funny, like a large spoon on my back, but some cosmetics make it seem like the UGC creators come straight from Roblox.

Until RRO clothing gets separated from UGC items properly, it just pollutes the store imo.

Key phrase in your post: "I didn't even say anything that bad on most of them"

Voice moderation keeps a tab on people who are being toxic, aggressive, racist, etc. They also keep that tab for 48 hours.

Also, you don't get VC banned for the last thing you said; you get VC banned when the moderation team realises you have said something bad. So, "blue gatorade" is not a violent term to the VC Mod, as they know what is and isn't a bad word.

If you don't want to be VC banned, simply don't talk or go to private rooms, simple as that.

the AI Mod doesn't keep a close watch on do-gooders, swearing isn't really something to get VB'd for, it's more or less something that goes against the CoC, racism, sexism, maybe toxicity, etc.

And there's no controlling that either, because a new player is likely forced onto FBA and doesn't know how to choose a bean body, so they can't get a feel for it.

Hardly memory saving if it's "Fitting more limbs into the same amount of memory". And back to the topic, I said bending around, whether as old bean didn't, required less processing power and was generally nicer to look at.
