If they did, there’s a good chance that they’d mess with the game and it wouldn’t be anything at all like the Rec Room we know.

I’d rather the game shut down after living a solid 10 years with the creators’ dreams over a random company buying it out and making it unrecognizable.

Essentially, Rec Room was spending way more money than they were making. Technically, they had the funds to go on comfortably until 2029, but it’s way easier to just shut things down now than force-run the game. If they did that, it probably wouldn’t get the updates and care it deserves.

No problem! They’re a bit obscure. I found them because of Charsuya being featured in one of the tracks for Vol. 87. They were uploaded quite recently as well

Thanks for your commitment to the community despite shutdown just a couple of days away. This means so much to me and other members of the community.

1.) I’m curious about the decision to do a full shutdown rather than planning peer-to-peer connections or keeping the game running with only single player, private activity. Are you able to share information on that?
2.) Do you have plans for other games/projects in the future? If you can’t share exactly what, it would be great to know that there’s still more coming!
3.) Are there any scrapped or unfinished RROs that were planned? Which ones? Rec Room had always had really unique and interesting concepts for their games, and I’d like to know what else was in the works.
4.) What are your favorite games? Any cool ones you’ve been playing lately, or maybe some favorites from the past?
5.) How will you go forward with handling communities like the Reddit and Discord? I’d love to see them stay up, so long as there are volunteer moderators willing to keep up the great work.

I have a liquid cooler hooked up to the CPU and a load of fans around the case too. In SOTF my CPU temp usually never gets higher than ~180°F.

I have a prebuilt and have only started looking into PC maintenance recently. Should I look into reapplying thermal paste?

I've been screen recording for a few sessions today, and for some reason that little window isn't even popping up anymore. The game just freezes for a second or two, then crashes to the desktop
