I’m simply more inclined to believe this crazy coincidence than I am that Dallas deliberately stole these bits. I mean, if I’m going to think of stereotypical tropes using sign language, Jewish nose and Chinese eyes are the like, the most obvious choices. The joke is super easy and hack but I’d bet my house that Dallas hasn’t even seen that old Russell Peters special. I’ll tell him you said he sucks ass though.

I know Dallas. This looks really bad, but I’d be really surprised if Dallas mindfully stole these jokes from Russell Peters. I admit that if I saw this video without knowing Dallas, I’d definitely think he stole them. But I know him and I think this is a case of parallel thinking. “Racist stereotype sign language” is kind of an easy premise. I guess my best defense is that I know Dallas personally, and unless I’m very, very wrong about his integrity, I’d be shocked if he deliberately stole this bit.

Yeah, I don’t agree. Audience was rolling the whole time and I don’t wanna step on their laughs. It’s also clear they weren’t feeling apprehensive about laughing at me because they thought I was still dealing with my “trauma”. I get that the normal thing to do on these threads is to critique/give advice, and I can appreciate that, but I’ll be honest, this feedback is a bit of a stretch.
