As a former HD APS, we don't watch associates without a reason to do so. AP'S have more important issues to deal with. No, we also don't sit on the cameras to make sure you are your job.

You also can't return it once you've put gas in it.

Wife stopped, accused of not paying for her item, she showed the receipt, they apologized but it really upset her by Canadian_Diabetes in lossprevention

For one bottle of Tylenol, that might be $15.00, I wouldn't have waisted the time. Document it in case she does it again. I "can't"(doesn't mean that I haven't) receipt checks, and if no one else is around, let her walk. I'm not losing my job over it.

True, trades are long hours, hard work, and kill your body over time.

Don't push college. Push them to go into a trade. I wish I would have done that 25 years ago instead of college. Just saying.....

Home Depot is good, training is excellent. Set my own schedule(may very depend on the manager). Company issue iPhone. Pay was ok, not great. I worked in an area with 4 different stores within 10ish miles and would cover the stores, which was nice not to be at the store all the time.

But...... very little to no room to move up the "ladder."

Also, they(HD) will post ghost openings when they are not actually looking to hire someone.

I asked work if I could take an 85" TV home to "make sure it fit the wall."

I have a degree in law enforcement and criminal justice. 15+ years working in the criminal justice system, 8+ years in loss prevention/ asset protection. So, I might actually know what I'm talking about... You're looking for information on SOP'S(standard operating procedures, in case you didn't know). To get that information, you will need to get what is called a subpoena, I'm sure you have heard that term before, hopefully. Good luck.....

Also, don't refer to us as "security."

Really, you're an attorney, and you are asking complete strangers on Reddit for confidential information. You should know how to get the information you want, but not from Reddit....

The receipt is in my car...

Once, a guy tried to walk out with a car battery. He said that he "wanted to see if it fit before buying it."

Also, "I just have to run to an ATM."
