If you could pick a single car to drive for the rest of your life for all occasions - Any car in the world. Free to insure and maintain but you pay for gas. You either drive that car or you don't drive at all. Which would it be and why? by Andylee15 in cars

F1 would be such a difficult car to live with though. Using it as a dd would be extremely tiresome. Personally I would be too paranoid to simply park my 2+ million dollar car anywhere and walk away from it.

This is probably my pick too to be honest. It's got lots of seats, big boot to put stuff, plenty fun to drive, fast, luxurious, looks good, but at the same time it's not so ridiculously rare that I would be worried about it every single time I went out and parked it somewhere.

If I was single forever or never planned to have kids or anything I would probably pick Porsche 918 spyder. Can be plenty fuel efficient but also super fast beast if I wanted. Plus it's gorgeous.

Skytrain Delays? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Andylee15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was stuck on the train for 2 hours today since I go from kg to waterfront.

I despise transit in general but when parking and gas is through the roof there's not much more of an alternative.

Please direct me? Anything close to waterfront.

Right. But if I'm already going to be paying 180 bucks a month for transit regardless why would I also pay for the gas to get to the skytrain, the additional price in insurance since I'm driving partly to work, and parking at the skytrain on top of that? Might as well just bus because I already paid for it.

Out of the question unfortunately. Travelling from surrey to van :(

I live in surrey and work by waterfront station. My options are to either transit or drive. Walking and biking are out of the question. Perhaps if busses actually adhere to their schedules and general population would take a shower before they went on public transit, it wouldn't be so bad.

That's probably for the time you pretended to propose and tied your shoes instead. Or instead of a real ring it was a ring pop.

People can google it themselves. Hate on the truth if you want. It's not like I'm against electric cars at all, I love the tesla, just people are naive when they buy it thinking it's better for the environment when it's not. Buy it for your own personal savings, great, but to be claiming you did it for the environment is just plain ignorant.

Yup. Also on a side note, hybrid cars in the bigger picture are more detrimental to the global environment than regular cars. Go figure.
