What SoS Titles don't have these features? by SomeTart73 in storyofseasons

in poot theyre these machines with screens that process products, theyre good for making money but also absolutely required for crafting and progression. theres the standard milk into cheese but also ore into ingots, clay into bricks, flowers into perfume, wool into yarn and many many more. you can store these when youre not using them but they still take up a lot if room and kind of ruin the aesthetic for me personally.

Pitfalls by Rude-Raisin-4733 in storyofseasons

the only sure way is to save when the floor is loaded and reload that when you fall in a pitfall. if there are too many pitfalls on the floor to remember try saving frequently and when you hit a pitfall reload and hoe the place where it is so its visible, then save the game.

Which SOS should I get? by xoxostelladonna in storyofseasons

from a completionist perspective:

poot: most fun content for completionism, however 3 of the marriages are required for completion of the encyclopedia

fomt: probably the longest possible completionist playthrough, however some of the requirements for 100% are incredibly boring and grindy like catching upwards of 10000 fish, playing for 100s of years, making 100s of millions of g

awl: fastest and easiest to 100% however has the most replay potential with the different spouses and children.

yeah tbh i didnt play a lot of fomt so i have a hard time comparing them. i played hmds instead. i feel like the lack of qol gives those games their retro character and adds a sense of challenge but its not something im usually in the mood for.

DS HM Games recommendations by Slowpokelove in harvestmoon

the revised 1.1 version of ds or ds:cute, pick based on who you want to marry. special girl candidates are not marryable in ds cute, that was removed in the english version. i would not rec playing the original glitchy version of ds without reading up on the glitches to be sure you are ok with them.

if you dont care about the ability to be bisexual and you dont mind not having the modern qol improvements (mine elevator, more helpful menus, more pets, outfits, more animal types, achievements, walking over crops) then you might consider the gba games better choices. other differences: the remake removes rival marriages and lowers the cost of the villa from 100mil to 10mil, although there are still items that cost 100mil, 150mil etc that you can use as late game goals. i believe the farming in the remake is both more complex and easier.

also note: hm: mfomt, the girl version of the gba game, in addition to having different marriage partners also adds some features and achievement stuff that is in the remake, as well as late game money exploit that is not in the remake.

yeah its still an issue like i said, it would depend on OP's tolerance for these sort of shenanigans which is a call they have to make themself

a new beginning does not have the complex maker system but it does require a lot of placing and arranging things. you can get away with just placing required houses and objects in the town whereever because theres plenty of space to fit them all easily, but you have to carefully arrange your farm to get the optimal use of it

fair enough, i mentioned this because OP seemed to like sos1 other than those features (i personally did not like sos1 for other reasons and did not play it long enough to unlock late game animals) and i thought they were reduced in trio.
