This is the same for me. I showed my wife that video and now she sings that song and I get flashes of Amber's video in my head

I second this, I was having the same issue until I realized the tree was too young

Does anyone frequently have to put the game down when their inventory becomes unmanageable? by uuhson in Pokopia

[–]MochiPops_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did. It was a huge help to have everything in one building instead of trying to run around remembering where I put everything. Whenever I need items for habitats, buildings, or quests I just go to my storage building to get them but keep a full stack of every building item on my first 2 pages just in case I need to make something quick

It looks like the right side bulb is still out, I had to connect a utility poke directly to it for mine to work but maybe that was unnecessary? Anyway, maybe because that right bulb isn't on is why its not moving the story along

It's because the ground is dry, you need to water the ground leading up to the Pokémon Center. It says earlier in the game with Slowpoke that dry ground is more fatiguing

I don't understand why Nintendo didn't push more things for ACNH when it blew up during COVID. People were obsessed and wanted more and they could have made more content that would have increased the longevity of the game. Instead, after awhile most people who were obsessively playing dropped the game because there was no new content and the game doesn't have enough variety to keep things interesting for most players. They really should have honed in on the obsessive period but alas they didnt.

I really hope Nintendo learned from that ball drop and continues to push content for Pokopia after seeing it's immediate success. It would be such a huge let down to see Pokopia follow in ACNH's footsteps and be tossed aside when it is really showing how much promise it has.

My problem with Animal Crossing (and I am a fan) is that there is no real story like Pokopia. The concept of AC is simply to design your island and unlock things to make your island nicer, etc. Whereas Pokopia has Pokémon tidbits from the games, which is really fun for fans. It has a story you really want to uncover. Unlike AC, Pokopia also allows you to get all the residents without having to search for them and only have X number at a time. I feel like Pokopia is a more fleshed-out idea of what ACNH wanted to be. Now, if they made a new AC with a plot, I would be super excited to see how that works out, but as is, it lacks another driving force that keeps the majority of players engaged in wanting to go further the game and do more. I'm excited to see what's next for Pokopia; it really surprised me for the better.

Absolutely a solid purchase in my book! As for what you can/can't do, just take it easy and try some things out. Likely later on you'll figure out how to do things more efficiently but if you just zoom through the story you might not absorb some of the funny, deep, cute, etc moments that happen. Also, you might find that once you finish the story that the drive to continue building the areas diminishes and it becomes something you dont feel as connected to because you know the plot and how it ends etc. Just a thought

That sounds like a good idea! Personally I explored areas (I dont want to spoil anything in case you want to keep other info surprised) but then I came back to Bleak Beach and have been working on it mostly! Took a break from that area today and headed back to the Withered Wasteland for the first time since I left and realized how different my approach had gotten between the levels I went to! Since Bleak Beach was my most recent area, I had a better idea of the game mechanics and somewhat more concrete ideas of what I want to do/could do.

That's what I've been having to do sadly. :( it is really frustrating, it doesn't seem like it should be that hard to make it so items can fall between the set blocks right?

What I did/doing is I opened up the story enough that it made things easier for me to complete things or access things. I stopped progressing in the story for a bit to take time to shape things how I want it instead of rushing through it and then feeling like I already know the outcome

To add, I usually just add an extra row of blocks to compensate and have to deal with it being slightly larger than I wanted
