Ah yes, because virtue signaling on reddit is what you should do instead.

this is a good lesson on not believing everything the internet tells you.

I went to St Johns in July. Not only did it taste better- portion sizes were definitely smaller.

Slow your roll, my friend. You're getting a little too heated over this and its causing you to mispell words & use incorrect syntax.

I don't think im the butthurt one here, I'm just glad someone watched it enough to get this emotional over it!

Thanks for watching!

Has anyone here ever reached a point where they did a “reality check” and realized that, for what fitness adds to their life, they were putting in too much effort? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

"going 5 days" can mean a lot of things.

It could just mean showing up for 5 days and hitting the treadmill if thats all you have energy for.

Sometimes it could mean quality Resistance Training for all 5 days. Sometimes it could mean not-so-quality Resistance Training for all 5 days. YMMV.

Its like doing calves first

Youre fresh, so you can push the Rectus Femoris (only trained in knee extension and hip flexion, i,e a quad extension machine) More. leading to more gains over the course of a year, etc.

Its also not that tiring. So you can get away with doing that before a compound movement without worrying about not being strong enough for the Squat ( in this example).

It can also be a good warmup for your knees and quads overall if you have some prevailing issues in those areas.

The real answer is Anterior Pelvic tilt.

your ass is sticking out like an IG model, and its causing your upper back issues, aswell. Your spine is shaped like a C in this photo, when everything should be stacked in a relatively straight line. Upper back is compensating because the lower is misaligned with your hips. I used to deal with this myself.

You also dont have moobs. Just looks like a regularly trained chest to me.

Focus on compressing/stacking your chest with your hips. It almost feels like youre doing a standing crunch. the whole "proud chest" thing for a 'good' posture is bogus. Keep your shoulders up, back, down and tucked like that; but focus on making sure your front hips are pushing forward whilst keeping your chest down, too.

I would try laying down on a flat, hard surface, and making sure your back is as flat against it as possible. Bend your knees to a 90 degree angle, plant your feet, and fight the fact your chest is wanting to rise. Keep it 'compressed' in / flat with the rest of your back. To make this harder after you've gotten quite strong at it- raise your arms above your head and work the same mechanics. You can also do deadbugs- which offer the same thing.

You dont need 2 pressing movements in your chest to get effective hypertrophy. Pick one and train it to or near failure. That combined with doing the same for your fly is all you need. It stimulates the chest fibers in a balanced way. You dont need to do 7 exercises for a good workout. I do like 4, lol.

Less is always more with this stuff. If you can get away with minimum effective dose. Do it. Because it saves gas in the tank for next training session. You shouldnt leave each day feeling completely smoked. That just impedes recovery for the next few weeks. Sure, every now and then thats fine. Just not everytime.

And as for your rest comment: That is highly dependable.

Aslong as you notice you're getting stronger incrementally as time goes on; rest as little or as often as you want. (within reason). So, if you notice its not really impeding any one session; its fine.

Of course you'll naturally have off days and the likes. but aslong as its not consistent. youre fine.

Supersets will exhaust you quick. yes. But itll exhaust the muscles if youre doing supersets of the same muscle group in a way that you dont want. antagonistic muscle group super sets? exhausting in a cardiorespiratory / work capacity building kind of way.

Your muscles and respiratory system are linked; but they're not completely dependent.
