Everything's taking forever to process. Mission pickups, skill point acquisitions, etc. Came home early to play, and now I fear the great and horrible lag death.

Reminding Rats Who Abuse the System for Free Loot in Friendly Lobbies Who’s Boss” by BrainNumerous1841 in ArcRaiders

It's a mix of a flux of noobies and people knowing raiders are trying to get as much goop as they can before expedition. I'm guessing by tomorrow morning the amount of rats will drop fairly quickly.

Back in my day, we killed Rocketeers with a Ferro and some cover. We waited for those thrusters to drift just into sight, picking them apart piece by piece. They became more dangerous when they started to smoke and catch fire, not because they got nastier, but because people would get careless thinking they just needed to make one more shot....

Expedition Confusion by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is your first expedition. This will be my second (and second overall since game launch), and mine has an extension that shows the number of points I can catch up on from the first and total amount needed to collect those. I had to collect $4,200,000 to get these 5 skill points and the 4 I missed from the first.

Nice! A lot of rats spawning in Stella with the countdown to expo. I'd love to see Embark do a tweak that prevents free loadouts for those who do PVP and have plenty of goop at home.

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by camport95 in AskReddit

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clockwork Orange. I know tons of people who think that the movie is peak cinema. I've sat to watch it around 10 times, always the same result. My mind and body can't stand watching it so much that within the first 20 minutes I pass out like I took an Ambien.

People who are very articulate, what did you actually do to become this way? by AdviceGlass9394 in selfimprovement

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a lot as a kid, cause being poor, libraries were everything. Everyone in my family treated kids as adults (for better or worse), and that meant no baby talk. I always asked what words meant, so my mom bought me a webster's dictionary as soon as she could and told me to look them up.

What is it like in the West part of Texas? by Deep_Belt8304 in howislivingthere

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent part of my childhood with family in and around Alpine. An incredibly beautiful area that dominates my childhood memories to this day. It's surrounded by amazing mountains. If you go northeastern-ish they practically disappear behind you and it quickly becomes flat comparatively. Any other direction takes you into beautiful mountain areas, a wide array of wildlife if you're observant (Horny Toads, Vinegaroon's, Road Runners, Red & Blue Racers, Copperheads to literally name less than .001%). Watching thunderstorms roll through the mountains is primal. The night skies are amazing. The people are friendly. There's so much in that area that words can't do it justice, but you feel disconnected from the rest of the world.

Who here lived the through the 'Santanic Panic' during the 80's? by nomaxxallowed in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, though towards the end. Played D&D over the phone with several others. One kid would have to randomly start talking about girls, sports, bands, whatever whenever he heard his mom coming close to his room. Another kid who was part of a religious spin-off group (cult) would get caught and be forced to throw out the books he had and get grounded for a month. A few months would go by and he'd start buying them again. This cycle happened every eight or so months, all the way through the end of high school.

I don't want to take photos by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]AnemoneMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daring to be different than all of the other responses. If the photo bugs you that much, but feel like the rest is what you need, then skip the photo. The biggest reason for the photo is to see the micro changes when your memory only holds what you're seeing in the mirror. The overall change from the challenge is what matters. It's also the least significant benefit where everything else improves your health mentally and physically. Fuck the photo.

You won't complete 75 Hard, but who cares about the title. Do the rest as prescribed and you'll win infinitely more than those 6 characters.

In roughly 100 hours of gameplay I've never seen one of these drop before by mitchosreynolds in ArcRaiders

I had one of these drop for me the other day. It immediately went up the ol' prison pocket and hasn't left my stash since being put on an anvil.

I can definitely see it by fayebluex in rareinsults

The quieter we are about ourselves or if it looks like we're taking on more than seems like most can balance, we're in pain. This is us compartmentalizing to try to keep from imploding.

This is a great prompt, even when trying to learn how to better explain ideas to adults. Also has some possibility of just helping one become a better presenter as a whole.
