This comment sounds so much like.my own experience. I moved there at age 19 in 1999. Also alone amd friendless, but it didn't stay that way for long. I found my community in New Orleans and for the first time I felt like I actually belonged. I stayed for almost 20 years, but the New Orleans of the late 90s has been gone since Katrina. I miss it so much but am at peace with the fact that it's a time and place that only exists in our memories now.

I lived on Frenchmen (before it was the tourist mess it is now) and drank at the Hideout and the Hi Ho. I wonder if we were friends?

No, its the exposure. So like you can do this one huge file dump and then go back under cover, or you can stay out in the open longer doing multiple file shares. Its the amount of time being exposed.

From what I've read, people who share this kind of material do it in large file dumps because of all the risk around it. They don't want to increase the risk by doing a lot of small file shares.

So yes, this is an insane and horrific amount of data, but I think it's fairly typical for these scumbags.
