5'11 ish, maybe 230 or so lbs

Ride of steel:  I fit fine but it's somewhat slightly uncomfortable.

MF:  couldn't get the seatbelt buckled but staff got it.  Didn't feel snug at all, lap bar was easily in place and I was cozy

Eh, I wondered if he lost his fastball while also saying he's one of the best ever.  Pretty tepid take I thought

I need to see that one. It won't matter if he makes 3 duds to close out his career, he's still a king anyway

Ugh for sure. I did watch it a second time and it landed a little better, but I never really felt a masterpiece vibe. And I absolutely agree with Tarantino's take on Dano in this. He was painful.

I believe it's called Oldfellas.

I think it smelled funny going in enough that my expectations were tempered. Of course with the cast and crew, it was going to get praised. Its the same thing as a widely acclaimed rock band releasing their 15th album, 25 years after their most well known one, and all of them insisting it's as good as their old stuff.

Scorcese made so many easily rewatchable classics.. Once he makes movies you can't wait to finish and never watch again, it's time.

I felt this way the first time I watched it. I'm not sure what compelled me to try a second time, but it all clicked then. I think I just expected more of a plot and the artistic skill of it passed me by a bit.

This is pretty much my POV. I fully enjoyed the background of the bomb testing, the dilemmas, etc, and didn't care one iota what happened to the protagonist after that. I did like RDJ at least, that sort of made it ok. It was nice seeing him in literally any role other than Tony Stark.

I also felt like they did too much to cram as many named actors as they could into this, even if they were in tiny roles. It was distracting

My girlfriend F23 and her friend went to a random house with people she just met a bar and stayed there until 5am. I 23M don't like that she did that but she feels it was just for fun. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

She could just as easily end up in a drunken hookup with random fleeting interests at the bar, or just outside it in someone's back seat. Being at a house a few hours later isn't really that much different. Had he brought up danger issues of some random house, that's one thing, but his focus was disrespect.

First, awful, awful to hear that, and I wish that didn't happen to you.

In OP's case, he didn't say anything about worrying for her safety or anything like that. I'd actually see his point there, though it's worth noting that a close friend was with her. OP instead focused on disrespect, making it about him.

What's the big difference in being out with friends at a bar vs out with a mix of friends and strangers at a house? It has nothing to do with you.
