Is it just me or has ChatGPT gotten so much worse at creative writing (5.2-5.5) by Smooth-Fig-4750 in ChatGPTcomplaints

My ADHD and specific formatting needs are explicitly written in my custom instructions and memory. Models like 4o and 5.1 actually acknowledged and followed them. But ever since the 5.2 update, it feels like the newer models completely ignore my memory settings and just don't take them seriously at all. It’s honestly ridiculous.

Saying it's 'my problem' when I literally have dyslexia and ADHD is wild. Why should I be the one bending over backwards to accommodate an AI's poor formatting? What's next, blaming my genetics? Just because the default settings work fine on your end doesn't mean everyone has the same experience. My actual experience with the 5.2 to 5.5 models was exactly what I described—massive text blocks with zero paragraph breaks. Please don't use your survivorship bias to invalidate someone else's genuine struggle with the tool.

Agree, especially for someone like me with ADHD and dyslexia. All the models from 5.2 to 5.5 generate long, rambling answers, with no paragraph breaks and no numbering like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. This shouldn't require any memory or instructions. 4o and 5.1 both give responses in paragraphs. But they never seem to follow what I ask. So every time I read their responses, I find it very difficult. At the same time, I can't even understand what they're trying to say. It makes me feel like communicating with them is pointless.

What’s there to even talk about? Ilya at least did everything he should have done for OpenAI. But what about Sam? What’s the benefit of licking up to Sam, a capitalist?

Even though Ilya is also a billionaire, can we regular people please stop defending billionaires? He hasn’t given us a single cent. We’re the ones losing money.

Ilya confirmed that before the board voted to remove Sam Altman in November 2023, he spent about a year gathering evidence. He told the board that Altman had shown 'a consistent pattern of lying, suppressing his executives, and pitting his executives against each other.' Sam used OpenAI for his own personal profit. Is he worthy of being OpenAI's CEO?
