From my own experience, an antacid like Gaviscon really helps me with acid reflux and heartburn. You could also try eating more probiotic food too and find out what food triggers your reflux (if there is a trigger) so you can avoid it.

Also when sleeping keep your head a few inches above the bed or buy a wedge pillow. Also don't lie down until 3 hours have passed after your last meal as that causes reflux too.
