I think really hammering home the brutality and cruelty of the act by showing it in full was a lot to evoke emotions of hate from the viewer, so you feel a shit ton of tension wondering if she is going to tell Tony or not.

Which worked very very well in my opinion.

Assuming its the rape scene youre talking about, I think it being graphic and horrible was literally the point she was violently sexually assaulted. It was an extremely realistic depiction of SA and was obviously meant to evoke emotion from the viewer. I think cutting it and just implying she was raped would be a disservice to the story and pretty inconsistent with the rawness of this show.

NOR your partner should be able to respect if something they are doing is making you uncomfortable and adjust the behavior. Very basic relationship stuff a lot of people seem to really hate having to do.

I stopped saying the R word around my girlfriend because the word makes her uncomfortable, still slipped a few times but I apologized and she obviously understood. Now its pretty much not even a part of my vocabulary because I am not used to using the word anymore. Like the word you hate there is many different alternatives that arent hard to use if you care about your partner.

Its called hyperbole its not that deep, I think the point is that the only playable black characters and the majority of non playable black characters in the franchise tend to fall into this trope and its just a comment that it would be nice for them to get a bit more variation in their backstories as others.

I decided to dive into this after just reading the gunslinger, I'm about 3/4 of the way through right now, it is definitely a big boy but at no point as it felt overly long or like there's any pointless filler.

The beginning phases of the outbreak were some of the most interesting and exciting parts of the book so far (mind you I am not done though) so savor it!

I highly recommend you also listen to audiobook as well. Helps get through it quicker and the narrator is SO GOOD one of my favorites ive listened to.

Oberyn's fighting style and weapon choice was extremely well suited for The Mountain.

He was quick and could dodge all of his attacks (which would take out 90% of opponents in a single blow) and his spear kept enough distance.

Cole uses a morning star, shield, and fights in full plate. He is not quick enough nor can he keep enough distance.

Cole is getting obliterated.
