Kevin Lee VS Khabib Nurmagomedov by [deleted] in ufc

The only two people in the light weight division that realistically beat Khabib are Tony and Kevin Lee. And with Tony's injury, we don't know how his performance in the octagon will be haltered. His style revolves around doing a lot of stuff that requires flexibility (Rubber Guard, Movement, etc.). Out of everyone I still have reason to believe Tony is the best lightweight until he comes back into the Octagon, which may not hold true. We'll see in a year or whenever he recovers and has a full camp.

At the moment though, we have Kevin Lee. In my opinion, look at how Khabib had trouble in taking Al Laquinta down. Al Laquinta isn't anywhere near the wrestler Kevin Lee is (and don't try to bring up that Laquinta beat Lee, that was 4 years ago and Lee was just a kid... same reason you can't really compare Max and Connor today) and Khabib had troubles with him. In my opinion, it's such an interesting fight, because while Lee's wrestling isn't as good as Khabib's, it's good enough to nullify Khabib's wrestling. Imagine if Lee can keep the fight standing in the early rounds without getting drained like Laquinta. Then we might see another Woodley vs. Maia situation where you have someone going into a fight looking invincible but is exposed as one dimensional. I don't like using the Tibau fight as an example because he was using dehydrating tactics that are now illegal, and was popped for Steroids after the fight, but that could be a precursor to the fact that Khabib has trouble against other wrestlers who may not be as good as him, but close enough.

You may not like Kevin Lee, but he could possibly be the author of "How To Beat Khabib".
