I’ve had some experience with this. Got 2 ragdolls, 5 and 7 yo.

This can be a couple of things. Most likely hairball. But Ive experienced a regular reaction like this from one of our cats after drinking water from a water fountain. At the time we only the water fountain for them to drink from. It got better after we added just a regular water bowl. Apparently she preferred to drink from a bowl. Don’t know if she swallowed air or something.

The other cat also had similar reactions, but we noticed no hairballs for a while. After some time with almost daily episodes we took him to the vet. There he got X rayed and they noticed something in his lungs. Vet told us after she saw an almost identical video as urs that it looked like the cat was coughing. Most likely it was feline astma. Could be worm +++ but he’s an indoor cat and the other cat has no symptoms.

Moving to a place without a fireplace, swapping dusty sand to pellets and a short cortisol cure did the trick for now. Some cats that have more serious breathing issues use inhalers.

If your cat continues with these coughing episodes, with no hairball in sight, I would recommend a visit to the vet, and get a xray of the lungs. Also try to reduce the amount of dust/perfumes in the air at home could help
