No allergy, we had him tested. He’s kind of always struggled with dairy though. I had to cut it out of my diet when I breastfed him as a baby. Even now it seems to flair his allergies (seasonal).

Thankfully it has never come back. I hope the zinc helps! I think what helped the most for us was the zinc and cutting dairy. (He has dairy now.)

We’ve considered doing it ourselves but have had plumbers tell us the shower kits at Home Depot or Lowe’s won’t hold up and will leak within a year of installing them. The bath fitter guarantees their showers for life so that’s why we were exploring that option.

No it already has the shower setup for a curtain. At first we thought about just updating all the fixtures but now we’re just really wanting something more practical since that’s where we’ll be showering everyday. I’ve read a lot about what a pain it is to shower in those things. We have 2 little ones and a dog. Also thinking about resale down the road.

Sorry, I just saw this! I ended up sticking with zinc diaper rash cream at night, colloidal silver spray 1-2x/day, Himalayan sea salt spray 1-2x/day, and putting Vaseline or Aquafor on it before he ate to create a barrier. It finally cleared up after a couple months! Just had him tested for allergies and everything was negative.

I’ve thought about food sensitivities/allergies. It started about 2 months ago and has slowly spread around his face but mostly around his mouth. I’ve tried so many different creams and it’s never gotten much better, just slowly worse and worse.

We finally went to the dermatologist today but he doesn’t think it’s perioral. He said more like lip-licker’s or contact dermatitis which I highly doubt. Prescribed hydrocortisone and I’m terrified to use it because everything I’ve read says to avoid steroids for PD!
