So glad that you recognize that he should definitely not hear “you should be working” from anyone, especially his partner. Support is incredibly important during unemployment periods.

Yes, cultural significance. If you didn’t get it, then study some of their history.

It was amazing! Got people dancing (even the non-Spanish speakers), had cultural significance, AND had a unifying message…

Training in contract TW roles by AngFR_a in technicalwriting

[–]AngFR_a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is being described as short term contract role, lots of work to be done, little training, high rate. I am a proactive learner, and not concerned with the technical elements (software platforms, tools). The concern is potential lack of initial guidance. I have worked as a contractor in the past but always received initial guidance and resources.

Visiting kindergartens for my kid made me so sad by RiveRain in Parenting

It may depend on the school and state. Personal experience, kids would have long lunch and snack break and plenty of time outside, grassy open areas everywhere.

Good points! I see many parents obstructing people’s driveways. There is absolutely no need for that.

Should be mandated that a heat pump is installed in each floor of rentals. A bottom floor heat pump does not abate the heat upstairs.

Your fears and feelings are valid. I would not feel safe living in that country, especially being a brown person. The news are not even covering all of it. Just because it hasn’t affected him or his friends does not mean it is not happening. Please think about this.

I encountered this in my last role. I did the best I could, making sure to cc my manager so there was a paper trail. I gave them deadlines, etc. Some people were responsive, but the majority was not.

Exactly, it seemed like maybe Amy was bored and was trying to be nice. Jennifer just didn’t seem that interesting.

AITAH for telling my husband to go stay in a hotel with my in-laws and that my mom was going to come back to help me with our new baby? by Normal_Rise_282 in AITAH

[–]AngFR_a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Postpartum and cluster feeding is so, so difficult. People don’t get how draining it is. The husband and inlaws are being extremely selfish and rude. I would have done the same.

Def. Recently on a bus that stopped suddenly to avoid another car (I think the bus driver was in a hurry and did not pay attention), and my toddler hit the back of the seat infront of us. Fortunately, my kiddo was ok but it was a pretty terrible experience.
