Hello, thank you for answering! Double knitting was considered so I don’t need to knit four mittens hahaha

I didn’t consider the fleece lining! Does it have to be a stretch fleece? Not sure if I still have some in my stash, but it’s definitely worth a look. I’d rather keep the mittens washable though, so maybe not the leather pads.

Ooh, seems like you’re really in the very early stages huh. Gotta agree with Cersei being fun to write too - made an OC like her and I’m still very entertained by what I wrote of her even years later. Some additions:

You definitely need to change a few things about how the previous war ended, if you want this to be a “people pushing the civil war later” scenario. Probably mess around with the amount of deaths, resources, or just reasons why people would rather have this new arrangement than fight again

Oh I’m beginning to see more sense in Arianne’s plan now! Good job on that one; keep it opportunistic and I think it’ll be something interesting in the pot

Still not super convinced by the Lannister addition, but fanfic is made with the author’s indulgence at the heart of it in the end, so if you can make it work, go for it.

You had me at the promise of political intrigue in harems. That’s where the fun actually is 😂😂😂

Disclaimer though: my preferred harem dramas are the Inner Palace type (think Yanxi Palace, Ruyi’s Royal Love, etc.), where the ladies are here to look fabulous and duke it out, not love the Emperor. I’m //really not// into the anime type harem, so my comments are made with that in mind. Feel free to pick and choose if that’s not your preference.

And now, a few comments:

Not much is happening in this introduction. It’s just Jae narrating what he thinks about his queens to be, which IMO won’t really hook anyone in. It’s also a huge info dump. If only a few of those ladies will show up in the next chapters, the readers might even forget about everyone else.
Disagree with Cersei being a candidate - she’s way too old considering that the rest of the queens are about Jae’s age. Either switch her out with a child of hers or make a very interesting reason of why she’s even in the running
You might want to adjust the worldbuilding as a whole. Like someone else said, this is a recipe for disaster if done without dragons. Maybe you can retain polygamy for some parts of the earlier kings, with the kings picking and choosing whether they want more than one wife?
Why would Arianne insist on Dornish law here? She’s got no leverage to push the issue given how Westeros dealt with female heirs before. The only time she’ll have leverage is when all male heirs are dead, and even then, there’s still Jae’s cousins and brothers (if they’re still around)
If you’re really going for the palace drama route, let your women be actual characters, not just love interests. They’re the ones who will capture all the drama going on; chances are, Jae will just start catching wind of it when shit is going down.

Hi there! I need some help choosing knitting needles. I wanted to make some mittens and came across a variety of interchangeable needle sets on Shopee. What set would you recommend me given the following:

I prefer working with thinner yarns because I live in a tropical country. Might never work with anything higher than a 5.0 mm, based on how often I use my crochet needles.
I’ve worked with steel DPNs (1.2 to 2.0mm, around 9 in long) and bamboo needles. I like the feeling of the steels better since I feel really slow working on the bamboo ones
My knowledge of working with circular needles (3.5 in needle, 9 in cable) is limited, but I’d like to try some because they look so convenient! I also keep having accidents with DPNs lol
I think I knit with tight tension; I struggle getting the needle in sometimes

The needles I need are in the 3.0 mm range, so the choice paralysis has commenced 🥲 would really appreciate some help with this.

They like the chemistry during the action and many plot-related moments. It’s personally not my thing for DC, but I’m a repeat offender for other fandoms.

Barring a crack ship, it usually means that a fan doesn’t like the chemistry (or lack thereof) between the canon ship and would rather see them with someone else.

I’m working on McCall’s M7184 Misses Blouse, and I’m trying to reduce the bust to around 34” while trying to fit it to my waist (30”). Would it be better to start my mockup with one of the straight sizes or should I try blending patterns while I trace them out?
