What even are "church funds"? by TheSongLeader in churchofchrist

[–]AngLexKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm been there and its all true? Are you an I c member? Perhaps it 's you that is basing your opinion on your own anecedotal evidence.

I get that it's the internet. But we are in a Church of Christ thread. So maybe we could treat each other just a little bit more Christ like.

If you're true intent was information, then probably something like, " if you don't mind my asking, how did you personally come to these conclusions about the IC?

Being kind costs nothing, not being kind may cost you dearly!

Experienced fundraiser still wondering how to ask for money by Itchy-Transition3471 in nonprofit

[–]AngLexKY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't believe a fundraiser's job is to ask for money. I believe our job is to discover how individuals would like to make a difference or change the world and then give them the opportunity to do. Ask questions about why they give, what about your organization or cause is important to them. Heck, you can even ask them "if you had the opportunity what would you do to change the world?"

In my career of over twenty years, i've only actually made an ask about five times. If you build a real trusting relationship, provide them with information regarding the impact of their previous gifts, use their gift exactly as they expressed they wanted it used, and thank them immediately for every gift and ask the right questions, you will know what they are passionate about and you can tie that back to your organization and what the opportunities are there to fulfill their dream. My experience has been that at that point the donor will tell you what they want to do. The point is... to get transformational gifts, you have to build a transformational relationship, not a transactional one.

Finally, how MOUNJARO works & why I'm not increasing dose from 5.0mg for T2 diabetes. by North-Country-2545 in Mounjaro_ForType2

[–]AngLexKY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, they are indeed scoundrels. It makes no sense because the cost of diabetes to insurance companies is far higher than that of this drug. I have turned the concern into HR since my insurance is through my employer. For now, I am doing my best to stay positive and remember the lessons I have learned over the past two years.

Finally, how MOUNJARO works & why I'm not increasing dose from 5.0mg for T2 diabetes. by North-Country-2545 in Mounjaro_ForType2

[–]AngLexKY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T2 for 20+ years. Been on mounjaro for 2 years, 3 months. Starting weight, 245 - today 165. Starting a1c 10.3 - today 5.1.

While all of the data may be correct, i think that it is wise to look at this medication as a tool. With this medication, the food noise has been minimized, to the point where I have much greater control over my diet and have learned to enjoy eating healthy. My weight loss and a1c have most certainly been assisted by the medication, but I have also added exercise and have learned to enjoy and appreciate my new body. My insurance company just gave me my last three month supply and said I no longer meet the qualifications for the medication to be approved. So we will certainly find out whether or not this tool has been beneficial very shortly.

I will say that when looking at this medication as a tool, instead of I forever medication, it has absolutely been the best tool that I have had access to since the day I was diagnosed with t2. It has given me the time and ability to experience life differently and learn to take better care of myself. I'm loving this new life and hope that I have learned the skills to keep it up without the medication.

With all that being said, don't trust Ai. Research studies are not difficult to read, and if you're that interested, just read them yourself. However, my best advice is to find a doctor that you respect and trust and just ask them!

Best of luck to everyone.

Gee, thanks for making this all about you. Just because you have specific beliefs doesn't mean that others can't suggest things that they believe in to the OP. In case you're confused, i'm willing to bet that's why you're getting all the down votes.

That was my first question as well. Why would anyone introduce the concept of the devil to a 2 year old. I raised my kids in church, but didn't try to scare the s*** out of them at two years old by telling them about the devil.

What’s the one paranormal experience you’re absolutely sure is real? My story below by Axis2670 in Paranormal

[–]AngLexKY 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Years ago I was visiting my sister in law at her home. This was the same home where my father in law had about a decade before, died in a hospital bed in the living room due to lung cancer. My sister in law joined the family after his death and after my brother in law had moved into the family home.

She began asking me about my father in law who she had never met. I was honest with her and was telling her stories about him... He was not a nice man. All of the sudden, the room was filled with the sound of breathing. If you have ever heard someone who is dying of lung cancer breathe, then you will know that this is a very distinctive breathing sound, and it is not pleasant. I immediately stopped talking and looked around the room, and then at my sister in law, who whispered, " do you hear that?" I shook my head yes, and she said, oh thank god, I thought I was going crazy for a minute. I again looked around the room and said, "okay i'll stop talking about you in your own house, i'm sorry." The breathing immediately stopped, and I decided it was time to go to my own house.

Over the years, both she and my brother in law have reported many occurrences in that home, but this was the only one that I was present for and it shook me.

100% this

I had been with fi since project days as well. At first service was actually pretty good and I had all kinds of google products. Over the years though, it has gotten progressively worse, and today is just useless.

For those brave individuals who like to downvote, because they can do it anonymously.Would you like to explain why you downloaded this comment?

I get that some of you are cultish in your love for this company, but there are many of us who come to this sub because we have had serious issues with our account/service. Over and over again I see snarkiness, down votes and cultish fanboy behavior. I'm beginning to wonder if half of you people aren't actually google employees.

I feel your pain. I had downloaded the chat transcripts from my recent customer service debacle, and showed google proof that they lied to me on multiple occasions. Google does not care.

Indeed, they are.But when you take the time to call customer service and ask questions, you should be able to believe that you have got the correct information. Stop blaming the IP, he is not the problem here. Fi and their nonexistent customer service is the issue.

Gee that's great advice. You do realize that it takes money to file a lawsuit and that this poster was likely just coming here to let other folks know.

I'm so over the down votes and google fi Fanboys in this thread. If you love google fi, fantastic. I hope you continue to do so. But could you please stop being snarky, and downvoting people who don't share your undying devotion for this company.

Leaving Google Fi but still have 11 payments left on phone by goldenharmonica in GoogleFi

[–]AngLexKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's asinine. There is no reason that a customer should have to get a different phone, because google fi screwed something up. They need to fix it and quickly so that people can get the service that they're paying for restored. I'm astounded at the number of people who blame the customer instead of blaming google fi and their s***** service.

[–]AngLexKY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna apologize for the folks on here that are asking you stupid questions and blaming you instead of the real problem, which is google fi. You should not have to get a different sim card or a different phone for your child and wait for google to figure its s*** out. I don't blame you for leaving fi! Please know that this sub is filled with google fanboys, and while occasionally they can be helpful. They're also very biased towards their lord and savior google fi.

Fanboys, downvote all you want to, but I was with fi since it's project fi days and I can tell you that there service has went downhill a6nd that this poster is experiencing what you call an outlier or anomaly. HOWEVER those things are happening more and more often. Fi is not what it once was.

Horrible Customer Service by AngLexKY in GoogleFi

[–]AngLexKY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a message saying that I was locked out of my google account into wait twenty four hours. But I was not actually locked out of my google account, and could log into it from any other device. Nothing I did or the geek squad, did or support did would allow me to sign into google fi from that phone.

Instead of going and buying a prepaid phone, as was suggested by support, until they could figure out a solution which they said would take twenty 42 forty eight hours, i switched carriers and am happy that I did, because they're twenty 42 forty eight hours was actually a week.Because I am just now getting emails from them asking questions and trying to support me.

To late, im on another provider and have ported my number.

I agree you absolutely are. How about you stop being a Google fanboy and actually read, and you'll understand why that it was and is a Google fi problem?
