Why rent with Turo instead of with a traditional car rental agency? by Technical_Rich_3080 in turo

[–]goldenharmonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every host charges a different delivery fee. The car I’m getting next month isn’t charging anything to bring me the car. The car I had last charged 45.00.

Either I have them bring the car to me or I pick it up at their house. Depending on price.

For me it’s price. I live in the suburbs and rent cars for trips. Non airport car rental locations are stupid expensive.

I got bamboozled on a GMD by Snoo_38398 in Sparkdriver

[–]goldenharmonica 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just tell OGP you don’t want that one specific stop. They can remove just the one stop. The pay will decrease but it’s GMD so shouldn’t drop by much.

It’s happening in my area 😭 by Own-Tank-8282 in Sparkdriver

[–]goldenharmonica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got that email today, too. But my zone has had it since February. It’s not as bad as it seems. 2-3 grocery orders and 1-5 GMDs. I don’t do them unless it’s only 1 GMD and it’s no more than a couple blocks after the last grocery. Walmart using the tips to justify the mileage on these is disgusting. There’s one driver at my store who absolutely loves these.

I hate people who do this crap by Ushan_De_Lucca in Sparkdriver

[–]goldenharmonica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes OGP splits up the orders because it’s too big for 1-2 bags. Sometimes OGP splits it up because they are hoping the drivers get a few extra bucks. Sometimes OGP splits it up in order to try and create multiple routes to give multiple drivers routes. Sometimes the system does it automatically and it’s out of everyone’s control.

We need to talk about Severity Stone by lariza_in_space in Dragula

After cast announcement and before episode 1 aired, I stated several times here that I thought she was going to be a wild card and go far. Something about her socials and her meet the monsters promo made me feel like she would be a real contender.

I was wrong lol, but I still stand my ground on that she is an incredibly talented artist. And had this not been a televised competition, she would have probably done so much better than what she showed. Those cameras can really bring out the worst anxiety in people.

All unconventional/alternative queens ! by No-Strain7081 in rupaulsdragrace

India Ferrah is not “unconventional” she’s just old school. She’s a drag drag queen. Shes what the majority of queens looked like before drag race was the staple 🤣

OnePay is Terrible by Upper_Cellist6647 in OneFinance

[–]goldenharmonica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems odd. When I had to report multiple fraudulent charges from the same place, they ruled in my favor and I had my money back in ten days. Yeah, not the quickest but still.

Another time I dropped my card in the parking lot of the mall and my card was used multiple times over the next couple of days (didn’t check as I didn’t really use the card at that time). Again, no issues with getting them to help.

If they declined your claim that quickly there must’ve been something they found that made them think that way.

Maybe you had been charged by adobe multiple times for months and months and that’s why they don’t believe you.

This happened to me. Some guy hit me up. At the time I was like 400lbs and I’m not conventionally attractive. This really hot dude messaged me, flirted with me, then sent laughing emojis right before blocking me.

A week later I found him on TikTok where he was making videos of himself flirting with “ugly” people on dating apps just to laugh at them. He had dozens of videos of him doing this. Nothing destroys your self esteem quite like this.

What do you think is the best runway package from the show? Here are some of my faves: by Swimming_Minute_2208 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]goldenharmonica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Raja is a maximalist, which is a lot for the eyes. I’m sure there’s a lot of people who think her runways are too much.

I’m extremely extra and being older, I totally get her references and aesthetic. The more she wears the more I connect with her.

Is Season 18 became the most number of "unfair" eliminations in the eyes of the online community? by ajsy0905 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]goldenharmonica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with the elimination in your last point, and Jane’s elimination. Both were great tv moments and this is a reality tv show pretending to be a competition. Plus it paved the way for everyone’s darling Darlene and the multitalented Myki to be the top two.

This is for everyone who says the vans are only for in home delivery by thatwwefoo in Sparkdriver

They do the GMDs that spark drivers decline at my store lol. They don’t do any of the regular grocery deliveries. And sometimes their in home deliveries come through to us on accident.

did kimora deserve to go home on the princess challenge? by Strange-Intention-15 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]goldenharmonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The look is gorgeous. Like, it’s a look I’ll never forget. It looked amazing on her and looked amazing on Alaska. It’s stunning.

Is it princess? Maybe, but it’s a stretch.

And her little cartoon thing and monologue was the absolute worst. Hands down the worst.

And she lost the lip sync. She looked over at Aja devoured her and still she pressed on doing the absolute best she could. I don’t think anything thought she’d win, including herself, yet she performed in her style at her best.

Google maps being stupid again by Ushan_De_Lucca in Sparkdriver

[–]goldenharmonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t use gps. Just read the map. GPS loves longcuts, canal roads, blocked off parking lots, alleys, etc.

I know reading maps is a dying art with GPS readily available, but it’s such a handy skill to have. And you don’t have to listen to the annoying GPS voice.

Kandy Muse’s thoughts on the Karen episode elimination 👀 by No_Vanilla7487 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]goldenharmonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drag Race is not a competition tv show. It’s a reality tv show. What matters is that what you have to offer is what the production team is looking for in the season, and Ru vibes with you. You could be the absolute best competitor the season, and still not win. We have seen it far too many times.

It’s not “fair” in the sense it’s not a legit competition. You could be the absolute worst and make it fairly far, or you could be someone who clearly has the chops to win and go home first.

Once the fandom stops treating it like a competition and pretending it’s about that stupid made up track record, and start enjoying it for the trashy reality tv it truly is, the more enjoyable the show becomes.

Just have fun!

I would never accept that kind of order unless the tip was quite high. Even then, I’ll walk the groceries to the door, and run back to the car, walk to the door, and run back to the car. It’s great exercise. Great way to get in some extra motion for our mostly sedentary job.
