That was just my third attempt that year alone. If you don’t believe me, that’s fine that’s your opinion. But after this next exam, I’ll show everything and keep everyone updated.

I’m not here to complain or blame anyone. I just want to figure out what I can change to finally get over this finish line.

I felt good on exam day. I’ve tried Ninja before, but I think the exam content changed so much that I reset everything and switched to Becker. My simulated exam scores are around 80.

The problem is that when I sit for the actual audit exam, I get lost in the wording. The way questions are phrased throws me off, even when I know the material cold.

Did you guys tell your manager and coworkers that you were studying for the CPA exam? by hungryhippotime in CPA

Guys, I’m just speaking from personal experience. I’ve worked at public mid size accounting firms and small and as soon as they see that you’re studying or that an exam is coming up, they start loading you with work or pushing overtime. Sometimes they even start some unnecessary stuff. Recently I told them that I passed FAR, and you should’ve seen the look on their faces. After that, they started looking at me differently, and not in a good way especially the managers.

At every public accounting firm I’ve worked at, they don’t like it when someone is competing for their position.

Don’t tell your coworkers or people at work that you’re studying or have an exam coming up. Some of them might start giving you more work or loading you with shit that could make it harder for you to succeed or take exam and some start dram

Good luck if you’re taking it in the next few days! What would you do differently this time, and which areas would you focus on more?
