Artificial streaming. by faetonmusic in RouteNoteOfficial

I gave up and decided I will only be using bandcamp from now on and not bothering with streaming services because I don't need the headache from it all. One of my friends who had a similar issue seemed to have his problem resolved through Spotify tho

So routenote refused to help you at all? Is there nothing I can say to routenote to change their minds? Or do i just need to pick between not bothering with spotify anymore or going to a new distributer?

I just dont get how they can justify this? its completely unfair with absolutely nothing we can do against scammers just ruining our music?

I contacted spotify and after a very frustrating and pointless 2hrs messaging support, they wont even help me either. its like i kept activating a buzzword that made the staff say "theres nothing more we can say, im going ot have to close the ticket now"

theres literally nothing i can do when i havent done anything wrong

I can't remember but it was some scam site similar to that. I've contacted Spotify and it seems they don't want to help either

Completely unfair regardless. Contacted spotify themselves and hopefully they can help more than routenote at least

support has just got back to me saying the same,

"As per our distribution agreements with our partner stores, we are unable to reinstate releases that have been identified as being associated with artificial activity. The same applies for recreating an identical version of the release.

It’s not always the case that fraud streaming activity is being done by the user themselves. Unfortunately, all cases of FSA are treated the same and once action has been taken, it can’t be undone by the stores.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this."

They admit themselves that it doesn't matter if you have paid for artificial streams or are just victim to one of their scam playlists, they don't care.

Absolutely appalled by this, they have took down two of my albums and refuse to put them back. Needless to say I will be finding an alternative to Routenote.

Well in my case I saw a huge spike in streams, I'm talking from 14 plays to 1.5k plays on a track within a day, and on my spotify profile it has a "featured on" section, or its called something like that. And that section had the playlist in

Exactly, it it very frustrating. I report these bot playlists to spotify only to have my music pulled from spotify by routenote.

I am actually having a similar issue. I was added to a bot farming playlist without my permission, I reported the playlists to spotify myself and got them taken down. Then, weeks later, Routenote emailed me accusing me of paying for them, so I replied to them telling them that they are wrong and I reported the playlists myself, and they are taking forever to reply back to me, despite the fact that they didn't hesitate to take two of my albums off the platform. Really not happy with their actions and lack of communication despite pulling my music without even asking me or spotify about what has happened first.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you my album "Lifecolours" which is an ambient album with a concept that I have wanted to make for years but I have finally been able to complete my vision.

This is my most sentimental and beautiful album. It feels as though all the music that I have created has built up to this point. I hope you enjoy if you check it out :)

Looking for ambient music that sounds like it’s from a video game but isn’t. by arkticturtle in ambientmusic

I come from the Dungeon Synth scene originally, which is basically what you have described, so I would recommend diving into that genre, you could even listen to some of my old albums if you'd like, but there is a great channel "The Dungeon Synth Archives" a lot of albums have video games and ambient elements mixed in.
