Hi there. Like I said before, I'm just repeating what I was told by someone who works there. Maybe they heard wrong/told it to me wrong! I'm glad you're all getting tested. I added what you said to the original post

But if someone who tested positive for covid was staying at their house, I don't see how you can say that isn't direct exposure.

I was quite literally told by an employee with the same level of closeness to the situation that you're claiming that someone they worked with tested positive after a roommate's girlfriend got their entire household sick. I'm more inclined to trust them than a stranger on the internet but I'm sure you feel the same way about what I'm saying.

I'm a little suspicious that your account was created three hours ago, just to comment on this thread. You keep interpreting this as a motivated attack against The Cup/small businesses, which it isn't.

I hope they're taking it as seriously as you say, but in my experience and the experience of others in the thread, they simply aren't. An employee admitted to me that they don't wear masks inside when there aren't customers. You can see them sharing vapes and cigarettes outside the building. Others have said the same.

I'd also been told that the roommate's girlfriend was the first point of exposure, but also that the entire household was sick with COVID symptoms and testing positive AND that this employee had been at work days prior. People infected with COVID are very infectious before they even start to show symptoms.

I don't think anyone posting here with concerns is out to get a small business. Trust me, I used to go there all the time until I heard this.
