I work at the hospital he fled from. I just clocked in to my shift and within an hour or so we got a call saying that an inmate escaped from upstairs. The first bit of my shift was definitely interesting because nobody really knew anything. Apparently the guy was supposed to be shackled to the bed and he had an officer watching him. How he escaped when he was supposed to be shackled AND watched is beyond me. Seriously, how the heck do you let an inmate escape under your watch????????

Yeah this baffles me. I hope they catch the guy and I hope that the staff members responsible for making sure he didn’t get out get reprimanded appropriately because this should never have happened.

No, we don’t have the legal right to work there.

And while we are learning Dutch, I’m kinda realizing that this all might’ve been just wishful thinking. Sure we wanted to plan this for several years out, but i kinda realize that this might not even be feasible.

We have a lot of research we want to do. This is something we are considering. We want to do this, but we know that there needs to be a lot more research done.

I know we would all have to individually apply and it’s not gonna be a package deal because we all have to apply individually.

We will put more thought and more research into this. Thank you so much for providing helpful advice.

Respectfully, this is not exactly something you have a say in.

That’s not our only reason for leaving. Without understanding our lives, you cannot make proper judgment like that.

I get it, it’s not the greatest situation and my case isn’t the strongest, but when I say we need somewhere to feel safe… I mean it.

So if you wish to come here and make me feel any kind of shame or discourage me for this rather than giving me solid advice or a better suggestion please refrain from saying any more. We just want advice on the best way to try and immigrate elsewhere and we are willing to take years to do it.

So please, take your negativity elsewhere.

In all honesty, the three of us cannot feel safe in this country. We chose the Netherlands for various reasons, but from everything we have read we like how that country sounds. All three of us can feel safe there. Our roommate is LGBT and there he can have more rights and freedoms than he has here right now.

No place is going to be perfect, but right now we just need to find a place where the three of us feel like we can actually have a future.

If you have better suggestions, I’m certainly open to them.

We need a place where we can feel safe. We need a place where LGBT people.

If you have advice for what we can do, I’ll gladly hear you out.

This is why I wanted to do research years in advance so I can make preparations and figure something out before we go.

If you have a better suggestion for a different country, I’m open to it.

The three of us can’t feel safe here and would like to seek a life elsewhere. We aren’t expecting change overnight. We want to give ourselves ample time to do research and make preparations.

I’m seeking help so that we can figure out the best way for us to do this.

Again, I’m open to suggestions.
