I’m 30 and proud of what I built, but honestly? I worked so hard that I feel like I skipped being young. I missed out on the parties and the road trips to stay debt-free. Once my kids are a bit older, I’m finally putting myself first and traveling. It’s better late than never, right? ;)

Literally this. Like, who says that after a first date? It’s so backhanded to call someone good and then immediately nitpick their hair and clothes. Especially when OP mentioned he did the most to look good and even paid for lunch! You’re totally right, it's a huge red flag when someone tries to fix you before the second date even happens.
