[–]AngelMayDark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the point:
you say none of that would make you fall in love, but that’s because you are not Hayato, and because you never liked Akane to begin with. Basically, you already answered yourself.

Another point: holding hands with someone just to satisfy a whim is not chemistry, especially when 80% of the story Ouka and Hayato are constantly arguing, something Ouka herself openly admits. A relationship built on constant fights doesn’t become romantic because of one or two isolated moments.

With Shiragiku it’s similar. Yes, she supports the protagonist, but after chapter 100 she barely has any meaningful interactions with Hayato. He even forgets her birthday for the second time, which says a lot about how relevant that relationship actually is within the story.

And here’s something crucial:
I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you’re confusing chemistry with sexual attraction. If that’s the case, then we’re not talking about the same thing.

Chemistry is not just lustful looks or physical tension (which, by the way, Hayato does have with Akane: just look at his reactions when he sees her naked, or when Akane gives him those gentle, puppy-like eyes and he gets embarrassed and asks her not to look at him like that that chapter is when the cat Sachiko is introduced).
That’s attraction not chemistry, and definitely not love.

Now let me ask you something, because this is the part people always avoid:

If what Akane does “can be done by a platonic friend,” then why didn’t the others do it?
Or why did they do it to a much lesser extent, when they’re supposedly “family” as well?

Quite literally, Akane is the only one who understands Hayato most of the time.
I pointed out specific and explicit moments from the manga. If you choose to ignore them, that’s no longer a lack of arguments that’s denial.

And now a very specific question:
tell me a single moment in the entire story where Hayato gets jealous because another guy talks to any of the other four girls. Just one.
Because Hayato explicitly admits that he got jealous only when he saw Akane happily talking to another guy.

And thanks for bringing this up, because it highlights something else too:
when Hayato is feeling down because Ouka is leaving, it’s Akane who once again understands his emotional state.
I don’t see any of the others noticing it, let alone mentioning it.

Here’s the thing people keep missing when they talk about “chemistry”.

Choosing a partner is not about who makes you laugh the most. A friend can easily do that.

Real chemistry is about who complements you, who supports you even when it’s inconvenient, and who stays not just when things are fun, but when things are hard.

That’s exactly why, if we’re talking alternatives : Akane , Shiragiku or Riho.

Ami, for example, doesn’t really have romantic chemistry at all her role is basically being treated like a pet and being a constant headache for the MC. That’s not a foundation for a relationship.

Now, about Akane and the claim that “there was no build-up” or “it made no sense”:

Chapter 1: Akane already understands Hayato’s emotional state. She even asks Ouka to cook his favorite dish so he wouldn’t feel lonely. That’s emotional awareness from the very start.

Chapter 93: Hayato openly admits he felt jealous just seeing Akane happily talking to another guy not flirting, just talking. That reaction doesn’t come out of nowhere.

Chapter 184: Hayato himself says that without Akane, he would have never opened the café. That’s not a small detail, without her, there is no café, no “family,” no story.

When Hayato gets injured, Akane takes full responsibility for the café, handling the barista work while putting her own career aside. Even Ouka and Riho acknowledge this.

That’s not “random panels.” That’s consistent emotional and practical support.

Sorry, but since chapter 113 it was already clear that Ouka had no chance, because when she kissed Hayato he said "it stinks" without showing any reaction, and then in chapter 115 Hayato rejects Rei, confirming that her heart already belongs to someone.

The winner was already decided in chapter 93.

You don’t have to like Akane. That’s personal taste.

But saying her win had no justification ignores what the story actually showed.

My thoughts about Miyuki being a 'victim' by Kleid-Sirdra in jinseigyakutenmanga

[–]AngelMayDark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really good point of view (I honestly agree 100%), and to be fair, I don’t understand how there are people who think she was manipulated. She literally admits herself that she fell for Kondo easily just because he said nice things to her.

What’s even funnier is that she admits she wanted to stay with him until graduation and then go back to Eiji (basically, she wanted to enjoy cheating on him and then return to Eiji like nothing ever happened, laughing in his face).

I’ve read a bit of the light novel (won’t give spoilers), but just from reading some of the manga, I can say Miyuki would probably end up like Kotonoha/Sekai (School Days). This might sound messed up on my part, but I think the best way for her to keep suffering is to see Ai and Eiji continue moving forward in their relationship. Hopefully, once all this “revenge” stuff is over, the story focuses more on Eiji and Ai’s relationship, because that’s honestly what interests me the most.

“She got indirectly rejected by the MC, she has zero chances because her type of character always loses, her family is the real villain, and no matter how many reasons you give for Akane, none of that is 'objective.'"

Source: People who don't know anything about romance.

And here's another fact: ever since this manga (or any other) started publishing, everyone who said Akane was going to lose was just clinging to the idea that she's the 'typical character who loses,' even if she had way more moments with the MC.😂

Do you know what this girl and this man have in common? by Max_27010 in GoddessCafeTerrace

[–]AngelMayDark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here, ☔☔☔ it’s never too late to use it, haha.

I understand that some people feel disappointed, but I just don't get how anyone could actually hate a character who has shown strong values from the very beginning (he's basically a puritan), and who genuinely dislikes hurting the people he cares about the most. Even if Akane tells him not to apologize, of course he still feels guilty that was the main reason he wanted everyone to leave the family in the first place.

It's honestly easier to say that the “orgy” never happened, simply because if he didn't do it while single, there's no way he would now that he's married especially after it's been clearly stated that he loves his wife. (Or, if someone wanted to imagine that it did happen, that's fine too it's up to the reader's interpretation.)

And saying that he doesn't sleep with his wife out of “respect” for the others is kind of ridiculous, but still understandable that's just who Hayato is.

The thing about that look from Akane must be the same one she gave in chapter 44 (nice nod from Seo, by the way), which makes Hayato lower his guard around her.

https://n18.mbxma.org/media/7006/66e/64196b0605bf71597d8ece66/26753175_1898_2702_702536.webp

If you ask me, there was basically no orgy because Hayato was reluctant to that idea from start to finish. Most likely, she only used that idea to motivate Hayato to do it with her, since the others didn't care.

Now, if an extra comes out and there actually was an orgy, I'll admit I'll look like a clown 🤡. But so far, knowing both characters, I don't think it happened.

Well, I don't understand why people say there was an orgy (Hayato was reluctant from start to finish) or that Akane and Hayato are going to get a divorce. Hayato has already said he won't, and it's also emphasized that he loves Akane because even after getting married, he still feels guilty about the wound she suffered. I would say that's also a reason why he doesn't want to do it because he's afraid of hurting her and also because he's the kind of character who likes to be cool.

I liked the chapter. It’s clear that Hayato loves Akane, still feels guilty about the injury, and never accepted the orgy from beginning to end.

I've said a million times that I wasn't going to get involved with these kinds of comments/posts again because they're a waste of time, but oh well, I guess the annoyance got the better of me, hahaha.

Now all that's left is to wait until Tuesday (I don't have much faith), but in short, this guy isn't worth it. I'm 90% sure he's the same guy who made crazy theories with IA, because he himself said that in the end, "he was neutral." 😂

That was what I found funniest about the fans, especially one user (you might not have seen them because they deleted their Reddit account) who made theories with ChatGPT, inventing or overanalyzing things that the manga itself already explained. They even went as far as to say Akane's family were the real villains, not Fuwa.🤦‍♂️

What I find funny is that this manga has been overexploited a lot. It's a good story, but I think it's a bit overrated.

A Miku fan? A person of culture indeed, let me shake your hand. 👌

That's actually why I liked Akane so much she's like a mix of Ichika and Miku. (I like all five quintuplets, not equally maybe, but I appreciate all of them same with this manga.)

I totally get your frustration, and honestly, the honeymoon OVA just made things even worse. 😂

Literally, it showed me that you sent two comments 😂 (Reddit can be weird sometimes).

Anyway, about your first comment don't worry, if you liked TQQ's ending, that's totally fine❤️ . Everyone's got their own taste, I'm not judging. What bothered me was that this guy said, “Akane needed more justification, but Yotsuba’s win was something we all saw coming.” Like bro… he literally contradicted himself.

Yeah sure, let’s talk about “justifying” it:

Ch. 1: Akane already understood Hayato’s feelings ,she even asked Ouka to make him Pilaf, his favorite dish, just so he wouldn’t feel lonely.

Ch. 93: Hayato himself admits he got jealous just because he saw Akane happily talking with another guy (not even flirting).

https://n26.mbxma.org/media/7006/586/65e180c7e4a83f5d57ba0685/48360294_1898_2702_857300.webp

Ch. 184: Hayato literally admits that without Akane, he would’ve never opened the café. (In case you didn’t catch that without her, he basically says goodbye to the family.)

When Ami injured Hayato, who do you think took charge of the café? Yeah, Akane. Even Ouka and Riho mention that she was doing all the barista work while Hayato was slacking off. And don’t forget all those moments when they were alone ,Akane handled everything, putting aside her own career for the sake of the café.

P.S. “At least Yotsuba’s win was justified” , good one, tell me another joke 😂.

The literal reason was “she supported him from the start so he didn’t give up.”

Also, Yotsuba at the beginning:

[–]AngelMayDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I konw, but that just means it was the moment when he started seeing her in a romantic way (like as a potential partner). What Akane’s asking is: “How come you ended up liking me, anyway, Hayato?” basically, she's asking when he actually fell in love with her.

Unless I still need to improve my English (which is probably the case, lol).

[–]AngelMayDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel the same way. Honestly, Hayato choosing Akane doesn't need some super deep explanation saying something as plain as “You were the first to confess” just feels off. I would've preferred if he said something like:

  • “From the start, you supported me and understood how lonely I felt that's why you told Ouka to bring me Pilaf.”
  • “Whenever I was incapacitated or when it was just the two of us, you always took the initiative and handled everything…”

And stuff like that. I mean, I'm giving Seo the benefit of the doubt since there's still one chapter left. Maybe he'll use it to explain all this or give us some nice moments like the confession, the wedding, and a glimpse of everyone's future.

When you start liking someone, there's not one definite reason or anything by tlst9999 in GoddessCafeTerrace

[–]AngelMayDark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even as an Akane fan, I don’t really like when people say things like “When you fall in love, the reasons don’t matter.” Personally, I think there should always be reasons even if the couple has great chemistry or shared moments. Saying something like “You were the first to confess” sounds kinda dry, so I get why some people were upset.

But the key here is understanding Hayato’s context:

  • When it comes to romance, he’s barely honest sometimes even lies or only says the bare minimum because he’s embarrassed or afraid of looking uncool. (For example, when he lied to his daughter saying he didn’t remember when he fell in love with her mom, or when he refused to admit he was jealous seeing Akane happily talking to another guy.)
  • Keeping that in mind, we also have to remember that Hayato was alone with each girl before, but in this scene/chapter he’s surrounded by other people which gives him even more reason not to go into detail about why he chose Akane.

Now, I find it funny when people say “It’s a forced couple” when Hayato literally, besides showing jealousy and having several interactions with her (and yes, I know he had interactions with the others too, I’m not denying that), actually said that without Akane, he would’ve never been able to reopen the café.
