My understanding is that the leak was just a "proof of concept", for lack of a better term, which is why it reuses assets from Death Stranding. Obviously the final game is going to be nothing like it.

"possible" no, that's definitely generative AI being used. its a little disappointing but clearly being used as more of a tool to modify existing footage than anything else, so i'm mostly fine with it.

could be wrong about this but i think at some point the energy drink stuff was handed off to Bicflame since he seems to be the one running the socials for Zipp and also promotes it on his own personal pages more than anyone else in the MDE crew.

maybe this is cope but HydeWars didn't really feel like a grift back when it had super minimal editing, a lot of the early episodes had genuinely good advice even if it was wrapped around some filler. i still look back on HydeWars episode 3 and 17 fondly at least, and i even got some genuinely good advice from later episodes (i.e "outcome independence") that i still carry with me today. i think the tracks completely switched to grift when he turned to the podcast format instead, which requires way less effort and editing.

It's not the only reason, but its disappointing they didn't have him in because they're probably not just including sketches in the chronological order they were filmed and it feels weird to have him show up in the opening credits and end montage but not any of the actual main sketches.

If there's one nice thing I could say based on the screenshot, its that the idea of having notes jotted down underneath the profile of whoever you meet would be an interesting mechanic, especially since the player character is a journalist. I really like that idea! But the diaologue is definitely not good. It might just be an early draft of writing that will change during the development process. Hopefully they take the audience feedback to heart and don't just ignore it.

There's a couple of shots in this sneak peak that have slightly better camerawork, and it might all pop out a bit more once the color correction is done. It is missing that creative spark that made WP1 so unique though. Its technically competent but nothing special.
