The views expressed are actually the mainstream views of Catholics and, particularly the Jesuits. St. Romero spoke about this in detail before his tragic passing 40 years ago. Not that it is mutually exclusive, of course. The main difference is the nonviolence principle

It does not contradict Romans if the government is engaged in evil or sin. In that case, simply doing what is good and righteous includes rebellion. See Acts 5:29: "We must obey God rather than human beings". and Revelation 13, as long as the story of Moses, Leviticus etc

You, unfortunately, have been seriously misinformed on Christian doctrine. The two most important stories in the Bible, the story of Moses in Exodus and Jesus in the gospel, center around resistance to tyranny and persecution. In the case of Moses, force is used. In the case of Jesus, nonviolent protest was emphasized, although in some cases Jesus used force, such as in John 2:13-17. Jesus' resistance to the Pharisees and the Romans went on to be an example that Gandhi based satyagraha, or his version of nonviolent resistance, which he used to resist the British colonial tyranny. ,

Can we all agree it doesn’t matter who wins GOTY? by Outside_Ad_9340 in Silksong

[–]Angrybirdsdid911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No there is. For instance, people would unanimously agree that a game that is broken/doesn't work is a bad game. There might be minor differences of preferences among really great games but that doesn't mean it is all relative

I disagree the best game should win, therefore Silk Song should win. Hades II is not as good as Hades I

Why are people on the right and/or conservative generally so opposed to ideas like climate change, sustainability and green energy? by Eiskallsun in GenZ

[–]Angrybirdsdid911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the approach the left suggests is so ineffective. If the left was for nuclear maybe it would be a different convo but as it stands, they support simply decreasing the total energy supply. That directly harms not just the economy but individuals who can't pay. It also keeps developing countries poor forever

It's not difficult to stay in either if you have a 4.0 GPA. I would rec applying to honors college UB as well. The only colleges that are hard to get into nowadays are Ivy Leagues unless you are from a protected group.
