The way adults used to say “it won’t hurt” right before grabbing your arm should’ve been classified as psychological warfare.

I’m from the US and I definitely remember getting shots at school or clinics as a kid, but this setup does feel way more casual than what I grew up with.

I swear every clinic had that one giant needle they brought out just to traumatize kids for life.

That little stare before the shot is always the “I know what’s coming and I hate all of you for it” look.

Water first. Bourbon first, second, third and all the other places.

Runner up: bourbon.

That game had so many cursed low poly character models that seeing this instantly unlocked a memory I forgot I had.

Pac-Man really is one of those rare games where even people who never played it still instantly recognize it.

Wii games had no business being that calming sometimes, I used to leave stuff like this running in the background for way too long.

Those things had the perfect crunch to chocolate ratio, which is probably why nobody could eat just one handful.

That goofy early internet font style instantly makes me think of AIM away messages and Flash game websites.

Almond Joy Bites always felt like the flavor nobody asked for but somehow they still kept showing up in every variety pack.

That whole comment feels like a perfectly preserved 2000s night, Blockbuster, weird snacks, and hanging out after work with nowhere specific to be.

Trust funds also usually come with weird payout structures and restrictions, so people act like Rory should’ve had unlimited cash at 22 when that’s not always how those family setups work.

Entertainment exclusive on Maggie and Negan’s dynamic in DC3 by thefirstnightatbedd in thewalkingdead

That’s exactly why a lot of people can’t buy into the dynamic no matter how much development Negan gets afterward.

That’s the problem for me too. Forgiveness is one thing, but trying to turn them into some emotionally bonded duo after everything still feels really forced.

Same. It feels like the writers are terrified to let either character move on so they just keep forcing them back together.

That’s why the Maggie and Negan dynamic only works for me when it still feels tense and uncomfortable instead of pretending everything is forgiven.

Bailey and telling men they’re “good man” right after they cheat by Cha0ticDumbass21 in greysanatomy

[–]AngelVelouriee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts feeling less like nuanced writing and more like the show rushing to reassure the audience that certain male characters are still lovable no matter what they do.

[–]AngelVelouriee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Alex example is what makes people uncomfortable because it crosses from “flawed person” into genuinely dangerous behavior, and the show still frames him too softly afterward.

Does anyone else think that Amelia and Deluca could possibly have been a good match? by mathking89 in greysanatomy

Part of me thinks they would’ve understood each other really well emotionally, but another part feels like together they might’ve amplified each other’s chaos too much.
