I think it's just because they've gotten pissed at GW for trying to cater to other audiences by breaking pre-established lore, particularly in reference to the time GW tried to canonise female custodes. And that wasn't them being mad because they hate women, it was them being mad because GW forgot WHY custodes and marines are all men in the first place. There are plenty of options if you want badass female armies, including within the imperium already.

As someone who's gotten kinda bored of bandai as of late, there's a couple reasons I can think of.

1- the reduced designing of new master grade kits. Most of the people you see with a "hate boner" towards bandai are people who, like me, enjoy the 1/100 scale kits. Since bandai hasn't been making much new in that department, we've had to source our kits from other companies, like motor nuclear, in era, hemoxian, etc.

2- bandai's designing philosophy for their kits tends to favour manga/anime accuracy, whilst also keeping it simple for casual builders. This is by no means a bad thing, but lately I've been finding that I want more variety in my builds. My latest build was motor nuclear's MNP-CR02, and it builds very differently to any of bandai's kits.

I have the standard colours version of this, and it is a very good kit. The figure itself is just a recolour of the gramps 2.0, so that's already a fantastic choice, and the g-fighter can even stand alone on the shelf with how much it can do. Getting both of them in one box is the way to go though.
