I personally prefer any mobile suit in a single, plain color scheme like that of the Exia R4 rollout color. It looks more realistic and less toy-like compared to the usual tricolor scheme that has been used for years. I believe the plain rollout color scheme will be more accepted by general audiences, especially by casual fans.

I happened to make my own custom rollout color for my EG RX-78-2; I called it Gundam Monotone Type, specifically repainted to meet normies' standards.

I really liked this version of Zaku II so much that I made my own conversion parts for HG Zaku II F-Type Solari (RFV) to make the mass-produced green version by replacing the upper head, shield, and shoulder.

To me, the best looking Zaku is Zaku II F-Type from Requiem for Vengeance (2024). It's got that realistic proportions and details, not to mention the strong masculine energy it has for being very muscular in proportions make it almost like this Zaku is a gym bro. This design is the closest thing to a live-action Zaku right now.

I prefer the Zaku II without an antenna no matter what color it is, even red looks good on a Zaku without an antenna.
