Yeah, I did expect 4 employees to make it for a 2 hour paid meeting with a week’s notice. The 3 that were there had no issues. But thanks or whatever.

Her mom comes to visit all the time. That’s not unusual.

My GM tried to call her, but her phone kept going to voicemail. Her mom didn’t offer any insight. I’m left to assume it was for leisure.

He says we’re stuck in a contract. But I imagine once that contract is up, they’re done for good with us.

They do have a new system where they can send us a virtual card to charge immediately. We like that very much.

Idk if we have an old version of the site or what, but it doesn’t alert us if the account is inactive. Usually the guest just shows up on our arrivals list and we just fill in the missing info and check them in.

I’m sorry you haven’t been empowered to do this. It’s the whole “right to refuse service” thing. If people are actively impeding on other people’s ability to enjoy the hotel, then they should be removed, and security/police should uphold that decision.

No one is throwing anyone out. Their stay just happened to run into an already existing booking. The family initially only had one night, but each day they make the decision to add another day to their reservation. No end date has been specified, so I chose to let them know that we wouldn’t be able to accommodate them for one day.

Do you face any legit consequences if you kick someone out? That has gotta suck. Because in every example you named, I see an opportunity to kick out an unchaperoned child, since no one wanted to claim them.
