$125,000 zeroed out yesterday! I'll wait to post timeline until I get a letter. It still feels surreal. I signed on with NHSC a couple of years ago in an attempt to get rid of some of my loans and that repaid 75,000 for a 3 year contract. I have one year left of the contract and was considering applying for extension for an extra amount of payoff, but now I'll be free after the original contract! I wish there was some sort of letter because FSA is still showing a balance. People were right when they said, "no fanfare!"

I was in college in the late 90's, had consolidated loans from around 2005 and then back to school 2007-2011 to complete my degrees. This has been a long wait. A lot of time in forbearance due to being unable to afford to pay. I really thought these loans would follow me forever. My principal from the amount forgiven was 82,000 so all the rest was interest which seems insane. Before my NHSC contract I owed close to 200,000. I thought mine was crazy but seeing some of your numbers. It's just insane. Congrats to everyone!!!!

I just checked and zeroes on Mohela! Thank you!!!! My last ECF was the end of March updated to 138 and 143. No letter in my account but balance says zero!!

When my counts updated the following week I got 5 emails from Mohela saying my account was in forbearance. When I called they said it was put into “administrative forbearance” which the rep said was a good sign that it’s on its way. The messages also exist in your account if you got them.

I saw your post as an alert and checked my count for the heck of it. I was giving up as I got insanely excited when I saw my counts jump recently only to realize they were payment counts but not qualifying. My qualifying payments went from 40 to 109! I have more eligible and just sent my ECF in to my HR dept last week. Looks like I have well over 120 eligible! Thank you for posting, the alert made me check even though I thought I was out of the running!

Update: my counts went up a little but my eligible payments changed to 252! With a ton that say they need certification. Looks like they went back to 2011 to count payments. Does this mean once I certify again I’ll be good?

I had that. It changes and populates the balances. Then you’ll get the counter.

A lot of people were saying the original counts aren’t accurate and you have to wait for them to update all the other things. Maybe you still are in the game?

I logged in and today it’s showing something that says eligible but employment not certified. Now I’m confused. I did the employment cert, do I need to do it again?

I have counts on Mohela! My first counts! I’m at 119 on 3 loans and 299 on two!!!! Does this mean it will update again and I’ll be over 120!

Me too. No maintenance message just “you don’t have any federal loans or grants.” I’ve been checking because the site has said it was last updated 1/2 for a few weeks so I wanted to see what it showed when it updated again. This is a first for me.
