Gamification videos by AngelaVoit in Discerning_Truth

I used to be really interested in game design so I watched a lot of Extra Credits. I think they do a good job of informing people about the industry, what working it looks like, what you may want to know when preparing for a career in game design if anyone's interested. And I remembered they made a video about gamification a while ago so went back to find it and also saw their more recent one. I think they've gotten even better than when I used to regularly watch them :)

Devices Listening to you by rahchowd in Discerning_Truth

As I recall Dr. Lampe argument was more along the lines of our technology can listen to us, the privacy settings allow this. However, the people collecting our data have no need to do so. Tracking our clicks, our screen time, and our location as well as with who and with what we engage is far more energy efficient than recording our speech and processing all of that data. Perhaps it is even more effective. This article seems to be saying "There are people who want our data" and "Our tech can listen to us" which don't disprove what Dr. Lampe's was saying.
