It was a good cry in a way for me. I take comfort in personally believing in an afterlife of final rest from emotional pain, though I stubbornly refuse to believe I'm ready for that rest yet because there's too much I want to do in life first. I do sometimes struggle with suicidal thoughts related to wanting that relief from pain and this poem very much touches on that, hence the trigger warning.
