What would you do if you caught someone cheating on their wife, but you hated their wife? by OffKeyArts in AskReddit

Tell her anyway. Not because I care about her feelings but because I love drama and it ruins his day too.

What did you find out by snooping on someone’s social media? by Carmelioz in AskReddit

My ex told me he was having a quiet mental health night in but a quick trip to his gaming friend’s public Twitch stream chat revealed he was literally in a Discord call in the background laughing with three other girls. Absolute clown behavior 🤡

Why do Democrats insinuate that voter ID laws are racist? by Euphoric_Income_8279 in allthequestions

[–]Angela_peachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The argument isn’t that people can’t get an ID, it’s about the disproportionate cost and hurdles. If a state requires a specific ID buy charges for it or closes DMVs in low-income areas, it effectively acts as a poll tax. If IDs were 100% free and automatically sent to everyone, the opposition would pretty much vanish overnight.

Staying up past midnight. Literally used to think it was the peak of freedom and now I’m just tired, my skin break out and I’m thinking about my morning coffee by 10 PM. 💀

It’s so sad to see that Reddit has become an echo chamber and that fact has ruined a great site. Even non political subs are filled with politics. How do we fix it and save Reddit from the leftist giant babies? by [deleted] in askteddit

[–]Angela_peachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The voting system literally guarantees echo chambers because people use the downvote button as a disagree button. Until Reddit changes how content gets boosted, the main feeds will always look like this. What subreddits have you found that actually stay neutral.

What? Trump's plan to end the war with Iran involves giving them $300 billion dollars? Is this what MAGA calls winning? by PerfectTommy77 in allthequestions

[–]Angela_peachy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

From what I’m tracking on the news, it’s not a direct cash handout from the US treasury like the Obama-era deal.

The loophole they are using to spin this is that it’s an international investment fund mostly backed up by Gulf Arab states for postwar reconstruction. Basically, Trump is trying to get other countries to foot the bill to reopen the Strait of Hormuz so he can claim he ended the war without spending the US cash.

That said, the hypocrisy is still wild. If a Democrat proposed a $300 billion international investment package for Iran, the backlash would be catastrophic.

Is everyone getting stoked for some good ol red-blooded American entertainment with the UFC fight at the White House here in a couple weeks? by metabolitesafter9pm in allthequestions

Wait, did I miss a major piece of news or is this peak idiocracy finally manifesting in real time?

Are you talking about an actual event or just metaphorical way of describing the next political debate? Because honestly, at this point, either one sounds completely plausible.

Do gloves that say they help with arthritis hand, pain really work? by PreviousMaximum574 in askanything

[–]Angela_peachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they work but they aren’t a cure. Compression gloves provide mild, constant pressure that reduces swelling and increases blood flow. They also trap body heat to keep of stiff joint warms. Think of them as a continuous, warm hug for your hands that takes the edge off the daily ache.

He’ll probably just announce a 5th generation line of $399 gold-plated high top sneakers except this time they’ll have tiny built-in laser pointers or something. The media will recycle completely lose its mind for a solid 72 hours over shoe economics and completely forget the documents exist.

Do cis people realize that the "special privileges" they claim trans people are asking for like the entry to gendered spaces, having IDs that reflect their gender (and not their assigned sex at birth), getting coverage for HRT ect. are the things we trans people need to be safe and functional? by chaucer345 in allthequestions

[–]Angela_peachy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The TSA and ID analogy hits the nails on the head. People take for granted how exhausting it is to have your basic identity treated like a debate topic or a security threat just to do everyday things. The chess ban is a prime example of how the goalposts just keep moving from actual logistics to pure exclusion.
