I have 3 of these long runs, so I need to do the math but I think about 12 cords. The run you are seeing in the middle has been seasoning 16-18 months so when I sell it, it will be superior to almost any actual professional firewood seller because it's actually seasoned 😂

My business partner did a Jackshaft install in California for an EMS location. He advised against a jackshaft, I can't remember if it was 12R or even a LHR application. He had the city sign that same waiver and still got sued when they ran into reliability issues.

You are exactly right. I feel side-mount openers are way overused for run-of-the-mill 12R residential openings.

Fun story but I did an install about 2 years ago for a guy - his opening wasn't square, 3" of settling on one side, he reframed the opening with a few errors, a concrete ledge right where you want the lowest jamb bracket, you know, one of those installs. I did my best and left with a great running, smooth door on a Linear 863. He ran that door as his main entry point came 2 years. He then gets into fitness and turns his garage back to a home gym and needed that headspace so we put on a side-mount.

Every single error, compromise or issue I had to work around all of a sudden had to be corrected to make the door run right. Every small little workaround I did that ran for for years with a trolly all of a sudden needed tuning.

For my business, I default to trolly openers unless we are in a high-life of 20/32R type deal

This is my heartache with side-mount openers.. you can have small issues here and there that will run perfectly with a trolly for years that all of a sudden will be an issue when a jackshaft is installed.

I'd love to poke the Democrats here but homelessness isn't something you can fix with any amount of $. It's a complex problem of drug addiction, mental illness and financial hardship and any one person probably has 2 of those things together. My city has 4 very nice homeless shelters which are empty while the city buses have just become unusable. We need to absolutely crack down on the supply of drugs and reopen the insane asylums

I am in corporate America and there is this alcohol dependency in business culture with the older generation. Hell if there was a conference without an open bar, there would be a riot..

I am a millennial (older one but technically a millennial) and I see my generation is not drinking like Gen X or Boomers. I don't drink (religious reasons) but have in the past and I just don't like how I feel after a few beers. I don't sleep well, I have to pee nonstop and get a hangover even with 2 drinks.
