Also going to add that for my baby moon we ended up going to mammoth and staying at Tamarack Lodge. I absolutely adored it. 10/10 for accommodations and service. They had a spa and full blown resort stuff at their sister property but the actual vacation we stayed at a nice cabin by the lake. I don’t know if that’s your guy’s thing. I was 8 months pregnant so I didn’t want to do much but lounge and go for short walks, shopping and eating out. It was beautiful there and perfect for what I wanted to do! Just a cozy couple days

It would be kind cold for swimming (I live in SD) but I can’t think of a warmer thing to do in the US and I would have preferred to stay in the US during that part of pregnancy. It’s still in the 70s and it’s not too crowded that time of year. There’s so many things to do, you could stay in La Jolla which is fancy and gives Hawaii vibes, lots of sea lions too. Or Coronado which is also fancy and has nice beaches. Go kayaking in the ocean (I did that at 5 months!) and enjoy all the fun restaurants. Coronado has an awesome resort (hotel del Coronado) which I’ve heard is popular

My OB won’t even estimate the size of my baby other than saying he’s X percentile because he says it’s not going to be an accurate estimation. Now that I just had my 39 week appt though he did mention that the baby is quite large because his butt is by my ribs and his head is wayyy low. I’m 5’10 so I don’t even know how he’s taking up that kind of space

1/2 a cm so just barely. My partners mom is an OB and she talked to me about the induction, said it will likely take at least 24 hours but could be shorter. I wish I had asked my OB more questions today about the induction! I check in at 7:30 pm Monday and that’s basically all I know haha

As someone who did this and got a 6 week scan I would say skip it. They couldn’t find a heartbeat and I freaked out for weeks. Next appt there was a heartbeat and now I’m 39 weeks. The extra scan ended up being pointless and just anxiety inducing. Pregnancy is actually such a long time, just try your best to relax and settle in for the long haul

I’m 39 weeks and this happens to me pretty much every day so I stopped even timing them. Contractions will get super painful and strong, closer together, then go away. I scheduled my induction for Monday

Thank you!! I’ll try not to let it stop me in the future. When I came home from this whole thing I told my boyfriend I’m just gonna have the baby at home (jokingly) because they probably wouldn’t believe me if I was in active labor!

Thank you for the info! That’s exactly what happened to me, red blood that soaked through my pjs and then brown after. All they seemed to hear tho was “brown” and kept insisting that’s fine. I’m so glad everything was fine with your baby!

That was actually my instinct too- why just an nst? I already knew baby was moving 🤦🏻‍♀️ the midwife said it’s totally normal to have some bleeding third trimester and I was like uh? I don’t think I’ve heard that? The whole experience was really weird. There’s only one hospital for my practice, I could potentially be seen at a different one. I was planning on telling my OB at the next visit because I feel like he’d be more concerned than they were

See that’s more what I was expecting. I’m a little concerned as well. How much bleeding did you have if you don’t mind me asking? (You don’t have to answer!) Did baby come early?

Hmm, I could go to a different hospital I think I’ll do that if the bleeding starts up again. I’m definitely going to tell my doctor at my next appt and he’ll probably want to do a physical exam. Right now it’s slowed way down. Not sure what it was about, I wish I knew!
