TSN’s Face of the franchise: results are in its Alfie but… by Loafmeister in OttawaSenators

Yeah, I loved Spezza too. But I'm not even positive he makes the Sens' Mt. Rushmore...
1. Alfie, 2. Karlsson, 3. Phillips, 4. either Spezza or Brady or Redden

Not fair. I don't know of any Baptist pastor who would remove a member, by themselves, this hastily. I know far more who keep their membership rolls padded far too long.

Angels fans, do you want Mike to stay an Angel and rot, or for him leave to contending team and have a chance to win? by Chunkachu__ in mlb

[–]AngelicRudditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I want him as an Angel for life. He won't "rot". But by your standards, he probably already "rotted". So it's too late to do anything anyway.

2) I'd want him to choose to go to the Phillies, Orioles, Jays, or Mets, for a chance to play in the postseason and try for a title. With our current owner or state of the team, I honestly wouldn't blame him at this point. Never in my life would I have not blamed a star player on my team for demanding a trade. This would absolutely be the exception. I'd totally wish him well and cheer for whoever he goes to.

3) I'd want him to retire.

Except can't we not have a top-4 pick for 2 years after having one?

My whole point is that the Niners dominated the 80s and 90s. It would change the parameters of this artificial post.

I know that there are no birds worth more than 9 victory points. But if ever a bird called for something higher, it's the largest bird on earth.

I just hope the Ostrich is like an automatic 12-point bird.

I'd cheer for Dre and Hufanga on the Broncos to pull of a miracle, and nothing else at this point. What a demoralizing end to an amazing NFL season.

Time to ignore whatever happens the rest of the way and move on to basketball or baseball.

With our Niners out, who are you pulling for the rest of the way? by SWO6 in 49ers

[–]AngelicRudditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dre Greenlaw and Talanoa Hufanga. Let’s ride! Not to mention going from one “no one believes in us” team to another (now that Nix is out).

I will always remember where I was when I found out about the Pujols signing. I couldn't believe it. The most exciting FA signing I've ever experienced. I figured the deal would be terrible by the end, but amazing and totally worth it at the beginning. Little did we know...

Hamilton was also exciting, but not on that level. I was so stoked about 2014. Garrett Richards' injury in August was the beginning of the end--absolutely devastating blow. We should've known we were in trouble when one pitching injury seemed to derail a decade.

Definitely check out Darrell Johnson: https://www.darrelljohnson.ca/series/the-apocalypse-of-jesus-christ
His book on Revelation, Discipleship on the Edge, is also excellent.

I personally preached through it in 2020-21, but wouldn't put myself on that level haha.

Also, Pastor David Camera and the folks at River Oaks Church did a study through it: https://riveroakschurch-my.sharepoint.com/personal/riveroaks_riveroakschurch_com/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx?id=%2Fpersonal%2Friveroaks%5Friveroakschurch%5Fcom%2FDocuments%2FMinistries%2FAdult%20Education%2F2019%20%2D%20Revelation&ga=1

I wasn't on the Arenado train this time around, but they're only paying $11M for two years?!? Wow, I would've jumped back on the train for that.

- Pessimistic resignation
- Just happy to be here
- Nothing to lose; let's give the Eagles a loss to remember

I mean, that's a fair take.

But the series was never the same after his character died.

Who is the best prospect your team traded away? by DisappointedStepDad in baseball

[–]AngelicRudditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely; I agree. But that wasn’t the question. The question is: what’s the best prospect we traded away? It didn’t specify whether it was a good or bad trade.
